Just because it has a shorter history.

The world is constantly at war. No country is any more or less at war. Civil war, unofficial war, official war, political manipulation, we are at war with each other all over the place.

In america we have a mentality where we think we are pretty much the best country out there and everyone in it is amazing. "I tend to think of it the other way around - trouble tends to find us." is a good example of what I'm talking about. We get involved in things we don't really need to and then blame others for it.

In america we have a mentality where we think we are pretty much the best country out there and everyone in it is amazing. "I tend to think of it the other way around - trouble tends to find us." is a good example of what I'm talking about. We get involved in things we don't really need to and then blame others for it.

We get asked to be involved in most of the conflicts in the past 100 years. Well, we were either asked or forced to act. Sure, we do act on our own whim every once in a while but it's not the default option.

 

When you're the most hated nation in the world it's not exactly impossible to imagine that we're at the top of the list of nations to attack.

 

 

It's not a bad thing to have a little pride in your nation as long as you understand that not everyone else feels the same way.
