Black64 Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 XP - Good Vista - BAD 7 - Good 8 - BAD
ClayMeow Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 XP - Good Vista - BAD 7 - Good 8 - BAD Â I've been using Vista 64 since release. There's nothing wrong with it and performs just like Win7 minus the horrible taskbar. Â As for the question at hand, I dunno yet. The decision will be made when I build my new PC, whether I'll stick with Vista or go with 8. There's nothing inherently wrong with 8...nobody's forced to use the store. flareback Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 No. I think I'll stick with 7. Even if I get a new compy I'll just throw my copy of 7 on it instead of getting 8.
Nephilumos Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 Yes, but only because I've got Start8 and it gets rid of everything Metro and I have a start button/menu again. Also, I have an MSDN Subscription so it's free, so why not? I like the new explorer look/features and task manager/file transfer are much more informative/pretty. SpikeSoprano Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 Never, quite happy with W7, even if you can get rid of metro I wouldn't want it.
