The new Seasonic S12 600W PSU's should be able to handle a SLI setup. Their also the most efficient and one of the quietest power supply brands available. It has dual +12V rails with 18A each and its rated at 40C.

That one looks good, some experience of that ps?

Remember the new generation of VC's start arriving in June & these want 150W each,

so the 600W PSU's & the PC P&C 510 SLI would be best.

I can´t find any info about the db on the PC P&C 510 SLI.

They only get loud, if they get hot. Keep your case cool & they are pretty quiet,

but still not as quiet as the PCZ PowerStreams.

The Seasonics are very good PSU's & pretty quiet also.

@David

Just to let you know that the PSU you recommended (Enermax Coolergiant 600W) is standing up really well :D with all HDDs, Fans, USB & Firewire extras hanging on and of course a wee bit of OC'ing :shake: just great.

Thanks for sound and logical advice.

You need to lock-up those voltage adjustment knobs as random turning WILL kill your PC.

AAAAARRRRGGGGHHHH!!!

 :eek2:

I didn't think of that. Now Ill never be able to let anyone close to my computer again... Any random n00b (kids and cats included) could kill my machine with a simple twist of the wrist (or paw)...

Ill just bark until they go away :dog: WOOF WOOF!!!! :dog:

The Legit Bottom Line

Antec's Performance TX1050B is the perfect case for anyone who needs a durable chassis. With excellent cooling and enough room to hide a small child, it fits any need, except the ability to use it as a LAN party rig. the inclusion of Antec's SmartPower 2.0 makes this an incredible deal.

Yet another noob here I have just built a system for a friend and need a PSU to complete it.

I'm very tight with cash right now with only 44$ of my own to spend and anything else will have to be barrowed so what is the best you can suguest. I don't have a problem with it costing more just make it as close as possable

I currently have it actualy running super underclocked on a cheepo rosewill 350w that I had laying around and I want to trash it in favor of the better one.

The specs:

DFI LANPARTY UT nF4 Ultra-D Socket 939

Sapphire Radeon X300SE HyperMemory 256MB 128-bit DDR HyperMemory 64-bit 128MB Onboard VRAM

AMD Athlon 64 3000+ Winchester 512k

Kingston ValueRAM 512MB DDR 400 - 1 stick

Maxtor DiamondMax Plus 9 6Y160M0 160GB 7200 RPM 8MB Cache Serial ATA150 Hard Drive

There is 0% chance that this setup will ever use a high end VC though it might eventualy get an upgrade to a newer generaton low end card.

The two power draw increases it is likely to have are another HD or two over the years and eventaly a dual core.

It will never be overclocked.

Oh and if possable i would like to get it from newegg but that's not required as long as the reseller is relileble.

It was suguested to me to get this as a slightly out of spec but good one.
