  1. The Corsairs, Antec HE's & Trio's & the Seasonic M12's are in reality single +12V rail PSU's, as there is no "per rail" current limiting. These are all very good PSU's & are highly recommended.
  2. Yes, or the DA 750W modular version.
  3. PC P&C has EXCELLENT customer service, between them & OCZ, they PWN customer service!
  4. It doesn't work that way, dual rail PSU's almost always use one rail to power the CPU vis the P4/EPS & the other rail for everything else. Single +12V rail PSU's are recommended for "monster" GPU's, especially in SLI/CF. You PSU should be fine with one 8800GTS.
  5. Test with a DMM as soon as possible, but I wouldn't be too concerened.
  6. The 580W Hiper was never recommended for DFI mobos in North America, as there are so many better (& cheaper) choices available. The Hiper 580W can not do highend SLI, impossible! However with just one 8800GTS (not a GTX), you "might" squeek by. My recommendation is either the Corsair 520W/620W non-SLI or the PC P&C 750W Quad for SLI. Good Luck, Dave
  7. An excellent choice for any Nvidia SLI rig!
  8. Given their hit or miss quality, I would stay away from anything Tagan. :dog:
  9. Silverstone will soon introduce an 850W version of their single +12V rail OP/DA lines & it should have the right connectors.
  10. What is with you & Coolermaster? Do you own a lot of their stock? There are better PSU's in the world & the DIY members have recommend quite a few of them.
  11. The XCilo is more appropiate, but if it works, it works.
  12. The Corsairs are rated at 50C. 620W has up to [email protected] 520W has up to [email protected] Both are 80%+ efficient and neither has any ripple or other instability problems. The Corsair 620W is the finest PSU I have ever tested. Dave
  13. I strongly recommend a single +12V rail PSU for highend SLI/CF. PC P&C 1KW-SR Silverstone OP 1000W, OP/DA 850W (new). From EOC PSU Guide:
  14. Either can handle your system, however I would go with the Corsair 620W & its 5yr warranty.
  15. JonnyGURU has tested some: http://www.jonnyguru.com/
  16. Your people sent me the PSU's for testing & I couldn't find find any "actual, real PC" in all of Las Vegas that it couldn't power! Although the 520W is an excellent PSU, it is so close in price ($96 vs $127) that the 620W has to be the primary recommendation in the 8800/R600 GPU era. Keep up the good work! Dave  PS: Please send me the new 800+ & let's see how it handels the R600's in CrossFire.
  17. Although advertised as "multi-rail" PSU's the Seasonic built Corsairs, Antec HE's & Trio's and the Seasonic M-12's craption as single +12V rail PSU's as there is no per rail current limiting. This ia a VERY GOOD thing!
  18. 80A x 12V = 960W, it would be very difficult to run the rest of the PC off of 40W.
  19. I have personally tested many PC P&C PSU's & they were excellent, however the Corsair 620W is the finest PSU I have ever tested, damn near perfect in every way! The Corsair 520W, which I have also tested is an excellent PSU below the uber SLI/CF level. I highly recomment the Corsair 620W for up to 8800GTS SLI, for 8800GTX SLI I recommend the PC P&C 750W Quad. Good Luck, Dave
  20. "There is no such thing as too much power" ... Tim the Tool Man Taylor Actually there is, but you are fine!
