What about this one peeps??????

Hiper Type R 480W ATX2.2 PSU

The two 12V lines combined can output a healthy 34 Amps and up to 350Watts, for the record, Tagan's TG480-U01 480Watt PSU manages 28Amps on the +12V line while Antec's True480 weighs in with 22Amps. It could be argued that the +5V rail is a touch low but I can't really imagine a situation where it would lbe likely to be an issue. Most tricked-out PC's are loading the 12V rail excusively.

+3.3 28A

+5.0 32A

+12 18A (V1)

+12 16A (V2)

Peak - 530Watts

No -5v rail though..........

I like the Hipers & recommend them, but I'm not sure about their combined +12V output being that high.

I "think" it is more like 28A.

+12V@26A is now the min for non-SLI, so it should be fine.

Ket's Hiper review: http://forums.extremeoverclocking.com/show...421&postcount=5

This must be that new math since 350W divided by 12V equals 29A. Am I missing something here?
You are correct Sir.

What di you think about this one for my rig and no SLI for me.

athlon 64 3000= venice overclock

DFI NF4-D modded

X800 XL with silencer 5

Audigy 2

Pioneer dvr-9

2 hitachi Sata II Raid 0

Rosewill Value RV500S

+3.3V@30A, +5V@45A, +12V@26A, [email protected], -12V@1A, [email protected]

I read that 26A is enough for non sli users.

And a review from someone, who brought it

Received the package from FedEx a day early. Wow.. this things heavy, very quiet, tons of connectors, 24-pin main power is a plus. Running 2 SLI 6600GT w/o any problem, don't let the price fool you. It's really a rock solid product.

Rosewills are junk, see post #1 of this thread for recommended brands.

Power Factor Correction. Its recommended you get a PSU with Active PFC if you live in Europe, in the US it doesn't really matter so Passive PFC is probably a better idea. Or so i've read...
