Just got back from the movie and I can't stop thinking about it. I highly recommend this to anyone that is looking to be entertained and have a good time. I see that the so called "expert critics" have already started to bash the movie for the supposed inaccurate depiction of this ancient story :rolleyes: Don't listen to what they say it is not supposed to be accurate as it is based off the comic by Frank Miller. No there aren't any deep profound plots or character developments in this movie and it will not win an academy award. What it does have are some of the most amazing visuals and photography I have ever seen, and the battle scenes are simply breathtaking........it's almost like watching a dance. This movie is non-stop action and holds nothing back, it's a man's film all the way but some women will enjoy it. If you liked Gladiator then this is a must see King Leonidas makes Russell Crowe look like Mister Rogers and kicks *** from beginning to end. The other part about this movie that is great is that Hollywood has finally given us something that isn't a plug for any anti-war/anti-bush messages. In fact listen closely to the Queen's speech to the counsel and how she talks of freedom and the price one must pay to have it, it should give the anti-war crowd something to ponder. Enough politics though get out of your chair and go check it out you won't be disappointed.

You know what, I never thought of that. I've gotten so used to walking into a theater over the past few years to see a movie and walking out saying how the movie could have been just as good without the blatant anti-war inuendo (i.e. V For Vendetta). 300 didn't have any of that, and it made it all that much better! Hollywood, keep your dang politics out of the movies and entertain us like you're supposed to.

One of the guys I work with told me about it a month or two ago so I decided to check out the trailer. Needless to say, I have been eagerly anticipating this movie for quite awhile.

When I read that, I couldn't tell if you were insulting or praising the movie... :P

You'll hear nothing but praises from me. I am going to go see it again in theaters no doubt. I don't know what I was thinking or how tired I was when I posted that, but seriously, that movie is about as epic as it gets.

Evidently this guy disagrees...

300 is the cinematic equivalent of a 20-year-old virgin who's sneaked a pill out of granddad's Viagra stash: Overly long, completely immobile and absolutely clueless about what to do with something it cheated to get in the first place.

:lol::lol::lol:
