nickosha Posted November 1, 2009 Posted November 1, 2009 I'm just using the Tuniq TX-2 that came with my Sunbeamtech Core Contact Freezer. I couldn't say firsthand how it compares to others, but it did get OCC Gold

dling Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 i just bought some OCZ freeze for my graphics card, so far its actually been better than AS5 How do u know its better? How long did you test? suchuwato Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 I've got some OCZ crap I got for free, some AS5 and some Ceramique... I get near identical temps with AS5 and Ceramique and the OCZ runs a little hotter, so I'm sticking with AS5 until I run out.
GabrielT Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 I have used many, peanut butter is not advisable
road-runner Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 I wish I could too, but I can't find the 30g tube anywhere in Canada (lame!) and I hate to pay $10+ for 4g since I'll go through it in no time What I read about MX-3 was fairly negative too... Petras ships international, not sure what it cost though... http://www.petrastechshop.com/arcomxthco3.html
sack_patrol Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 AS5 is what you need my friend. No doubt about it. I think someone made a guide for different thermal solutions if your out of thermal paste. LOL It was awesome although I don't remember who made it and where it is now. road-runner Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 I read a test on this stuff and its supposed to be really good. I will have to find it over at XS... Socket 1366 Socket 775 Edit: Found it... http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=232141
dr_bowtie Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 I use Zalman Grease...the little bottle with teh brush in it...works better than AS5 and last longer in the field... I quit using AS5 because after 6 months of 24/7 use it seams temps climb...I dont like pulling a heatsink and finding flaky TIM...I refuse to use AS5 after that... I have large tubes of stuff from OCZ and Thermalright....
TropicalPreist Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 As they say.."The proof is in the pudding"..these are my temps after switching off from AS5 to OCZ FREEZE. http://forums.overclockersclub.com/index.p...howtopic=168689
