Waco Posted October 12, 2009 Posted October 12, 2009 Since this thread has obviously derailed form the original subject. I'll throw in another touch of offtopic-ness AWESOME!

Mikesnow Posted October 12, 2009 Posted October 12, 2009 Yeah, they probably still have more money than AMD. Just they are keeping it for themselves(For those donuts every morning ) Nvidia is down now, they'll be back up soon. Nvidia I wuld say definately has more money then AMD AMD = $6.14 a share NVDA = $14.01 a share INTC = $20.40 a share I'd say they have plenty of money for the time being. Although in this case it does reflect something close to reality, you can't compare share prices just like that
CowKing Posted October 13, 2009 Posted October 13, 2009 not to sound like I'm picking on you but why'd you buy the 9800GT?? why not? it clocks better and runs cooler, plus i know more now than i did a year ago when i bought it
IVIYTH0S Posted October 13, 2009 Posted October 13, 2009 why not? it clocks better and runs cooler, plus i know more now than i did a year ago when i bought it I'm saying over the 8800GT which was probably cheaper (unless it wasn't for whatever reason). I know right now it's a good $30 plus cheaper than the 9800GT

IVIYTH0S Posted October 13, 2009 Posted October 13, 2009 (edited) The 9800GT is faster and more efficient. That's worth it for some. it's not faster it has all the same exact specs http://www.nvidia.com/object/product_geforce_8800_gt_us.html http://www.nvidia.com/object/product_geforce_9800gt_us.html http://xtreview.com/addcomment-id-6308-vie...nm-vs-55nm.html temperatures were better I guess (according to the review), but performance is = my friend had a 9800GT and I see no difference between that and the 8800GT I'm running now. Other than his was XFX and mine is BFG. Edited October 13, 2009 by IVIYTH0S
actionstan Posted October 13, 2009 Posted October 13, 2009 amd, intel, ati, or nvidia could never die.. or retreat.. this article has to be nonsense. ati and nvidia both have alot of fans.. (fanboys) i myself consider myself neutral. but i still believe nvidia has a majority of the gpu market. besdies if a company did start to die.. the other company would become a "monopoly" and i know in america that sort of thing is not aloud because a monopoly can control the market. could someone say government bail out?(lol) anyways i look at alot of sigs on these forums and see a mixed amount of ati, nvidia, intel, and amd computers in the sigs.. i think them guys are here to stay
