kk i have been googling this on and off for a few weeks out of boredom.

 

 

over all bit defender is looking like the way to go. but i want some opinions from smart guys/gals on occ.

panda may be decent, but is a serious resource hog.

 

used it for a brief time and highly disliked it...

 

uninstalled it and installed avg free, which is excellent... and free.

 

if you use smart internet sense, there should be no need for anything more than windows defender (the vista anti-spyware) and avg free.

I used to use AVG and it was fine for the time being. The only thing I did not like was the auto update (but I think you can turn that off, not to sure) then i switched over to avast and that was fine too.

Now, i hardly ever use any anti virus programs other than what windows provides. I don't browse the internet to much other than trusted sites (hardware review sites), youtube, forums.

 

Common sense is a good anti-* :)
