PeeWee90 Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 (edited) Damn that girl in the second link is freaking hot. Hard to believe she would even be playing I'd hit it: What! Look at that painted-on face! (Whyy so seriouusss?) Anyway, no, but my gf is into retro gaming! Mario and things on SNES! Good enough for me! redtigerdragon Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 A big NO. She hates computers, especially since they never seem to work right around her. Let me tell you, I do about equal work at home as I do at work...
Great_Gig Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 What an interesting and thought provoking question! Well I have had many girlfriends and only one was into computers, but that was on a professional level. She used to work for a database software company and was a whizz with software applications but not really that good with hardware, she did however have a basic understanding. We met on a dive boat whilst on holiday. Since then none have been interested in computers, in fact my next ex (after the one above) is now married and I am still fixing her machines and just bought her a Netbook! I now work full-time with computers and in the last 8 months have been on 4 courses and one IT Conference. To give you an idea, Course 1 had 18 students, 2 girls the rest guys. Course 2 - 16 students and only 1 girl (one of the girls from 1st course). Course 3 - 22 students with 2 girls, one was hot the other a total munter - but a nice girl! The conference was probably 95% guys. I have just been on a course this week with 15 guys and no girls. The office I work in has 8 staff, 6 guys 2 girls. One is an admin assistant and knows nothing about hardware and has zero interest in computers, the other girl is a mobile phone specialist but wants to move across to computers (more money!). From my experience, we are it seems a totally male dominated sector of society, especially when you move into the technical side of computing. So I don't hold out much hope of you getting another one easily and as to where you would meet her . . . . PS. Are there any girls on this forum? d3bruts1d Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 I don't know that my wife has ever used a computer... much less operated anything more technical than a light switch.

Crow47 Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 You must enjoy sleeping on the couch... Oh not again... Thanks for the answers, guys, you've given me some good perspective on things. I really appreciate it. Yeah, I figured it was a fluke that I had at least one gf who was as geeky as I am in some areas. Hahaha, 'twas fun while it lasted. Archerzz Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 My girlfriend only knows what I taught her, which is just enough to get her through Intro To Computers class with flying colors.
Kash Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 I saw a whole bunch of nerdy looking girls (not the gross kind) in the line for Watchmen last night. Most of them seemed to be with a guy, so these girls exist somewhere.
Onion Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 My wife has been using computers since the late 1970's...and still knows almost nothing about them. <_< Sounds like my mom. She can't even plug in the laptop charger. I'm serious, she called me to do it for her this morning.

fire_storm Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 PS. Are there any girls on this forum? I can think of 3 can't remember the names though. Anyways so far I have never met a girl that is into the hardware part of computers. I have seen a few girls that can trouble shoot basic problems with a computer but nothing too advance. Seen quite a few who like to do things like web design or photo shop. As for games I very rarely seen girls who like to play war shooting or RPG games. I know a lot of girls who like to play video games like the Sims or Guitar hero and like to use the Wii but that's about it. I think the reason why girls don't like computers that much is because the computer tech life style doesn't really fit in with the typically life style girls have.
