wow, man thanks for clarifying on the health stuff. Dude you where cut off because of freaking risk. pfft thats lame.

The national sales tax idea has merit but i'd be concerned about the total sale tax rate (city + state + fed) raising to some insane rate like 30% of all purchases. The WA state rate is something like %9. I'm not sure how it would balance out.

That's amazing! I like how you quoted InCrysis in your sig too. Snappy!

Offtopic, but this was in related videos...

It's quite possibly the most depressing thing I have ever seen in my entire life.

or this one

What else do you expect from those type of people? We all know what they do in there spare time. Those type of people don't represent average Americans.

I guess all this arguing doesn't really matter. All the left wing Obama loons think he is better and all us Right wing nuts think McCain is(McCain is about as right as Hilary Clinton). Every four years it's the same garbage. I would rather the world end with McCain at the helm(because its coming soon). I don't like Obama at all and if I stumbled across him in the street I would tell him right to his face. I would rather see Clinton be president any day of the week and 1000 times on Sunday.

Those of you who may laugh at my end of world statement think about it for a second....Doesn't it look like things are heading that way? Not a biblical ending but us doing it to ourselves.

Also I will admit that I don't care about abortion as long as I don't have to pay for them(taxes) for people to use it as birth control and I think gays should be able to get married and be just as miserable as straight married people. I know that is shocking coming from a right wing nut.

Any ideas who will win the election if voters decide based on which candidate they expect to do better in handling the issues? I came across a new research study addressing this question. The result: historically, voters chose the candidate they expected to do the best job in dealing with the issues facing the country.

For 2008, the approach predicts Barack Obama as the election winner.

Read more about it:

http://www.forecastingprinciples.com/Polly...-candidate.html

Quite a lot of forecasting ideas there as well, The PollyVote (www.pollyvote.com) provided near-perfect predictions for 2004! Check it out if you get the chance.

I agree with you on the right and left wing stuff. Some people seem to like drawing a line in between both parties somehow calling it the centre (obviously it isn't).

As for the world ending, I'm not so sure. I think we'll be around for a good while yet and hey, if we aren't, then the Earth will do just fine without us. :)

The drive-by-media has assisted the Democrats by furthering their revisionist history to garner support from African-Americans and other minorities over the years. These actions have only helped divide the country and voting population.

Short History Lesson...

In 1964, the Civil Rights Act went before Congress with little chance of passing due to opposition from the Democrats in both the House and Senate. It was only by the narrowest of margins provided by the Republicans in both houses that the Act was approved.

The Senate version:[9]

Democratic Party: 46-21 (69%-31%)

Republican Party: 27-6 (82%-18%)

The Senate version, voted on by the House:

Democratic Party: 153-91 (63%-37%)

Republican Party: 136-35 (80%-20%)

As you can see by the final vote in both chambers, if not for the overwhelming support by Republicans, the Bill would not have passed.

Similarly, the 1965 Voting Rights Act met the same Democrat road-blocks and only passed with the almost complete support of the sitting Republicans.

Senate: 79

Bet you didn't know the real truth about either piece of legislation even if you paid attention in Civics class.

Ooh! Ooh! I did! I did!

But I sure as hell didn't learn anything that useful in Civics class. I don't think anyone learns things like that anymore in public school. Everything I know is 100% homegrown, no thanks whatsoever to my schooling.
