Joe Biden says Wealthy Americans must pay more taxes to show patriotism. That is where it all begins. Be prepared to be broke everyone. God I hate those 2 bastards. They always say the wealthy and the middle class gets screwed.

As Kash has said several times already, most of the people here will end up paying LESS taxes if Obama is elected. Without looking up the specific numbers, I recall a threshold of around $600 a year. Anything less and you'll be paying the same. Under $200k-ish will actually pay less.

I'm not saying that I agree with this wealth redistribution plan that effectively punishes success, but it's worth noting that in actuality the right-wing threats of "he'll raise your taxes" usually boil down to being quite false for most folks.

Personally, while I disagree with wealth-redistribution like I implied above, I'm not idealistic enough to believe it's going to go away with either candidate. Heck, you can throw Ron Paul in there for eight years and even he's not going to put a significant dent in it by the time you figure in the Congress. So given both options (both big government, just in different ways), I'd say a tax cut sounds pretty nice.

You know what I say: "Biden be more patriotic and take a pay cut".

It seems like you have a very strong opinion but it also seems like whenever someone has a legitimate response to your points you just boil down to some generic non-response like this. Why is that?

Besides, couldn't we ask the same of McCain and/or Palin?

Absolutely. They should all take a pay cut. And sorry while it is hard to believe anything a politician says, I especially don't believe a thing Obama says. He comes off like a slimy back street attorney.

I agree....there are several government and local workers that should take pay cuts and let go the ones we really dont need....city workers and so on..reform it all the way...

For Clarity:

I find it utterly amazing that liberal/socialist have been preaching the same line for over 40 years, "vote for us and we'll make things better for you". The only problem is that they have done absolutely nothing to help the very people they proclaim their support for.

The liberal/socialist have used their influence over the education system by blackmailing the teachers unions into granting their support for the liberal/socialist agenda. Since the teachers unions are motivated by self-preservation, this influences the teachers to promote the liberal/socialist agenda within the schools. The children are exposed to this liberal/socialist agenda throughout their educational experience and tend to vote the liberal/socialist politicians into office continuing the cycle.

The liberal/socialist agenda uses class-warfare as a method of fostering hate.

raising taxes on those who provide jobs may not quite be a legitimate response.

i employ 35 people and pay 100% of their healthcare including a full dental plan.

it is only fair since they generate all of the money.

they do not belong to a union so they do not pay dues and are quite well paid.

the average pay in my shop is about $21/hour.

i try to use any profits i make to grow my business and to create new jobs.

my personal taxes do not concern me as much as capital gains taxes.

i do not pay myself enough to be concerned with personal income taxes.

if they raise the capital gains tax i will have less profits and will create less jobs.

if they get too stupid like Bill Clinton and the socialists did, i will have to reduce jobs...

the govenment does not create new jobs, except jobs for themselves.

they then go out and steal money from those who actually generate it to pay the wages.

if a corporation was run like the US government, many of the people in it would be on their way to prison.

try writing a few billion in bad checks...

before you blame Bush...

congress spends the money.

it is just his fault for not stopping them.

hopefully you will not to get to see the horror that will come from a socialist takeover of our government.

i am afraid many of you will be looking for work.

maybe Osama Obama will create a job for you...

the best part about taxes is the people that pay them are not eligible for any of the things they pay for.

i put 5 children thru 4 year colleges and none of them could even get a grant.

their dad paid too much in taxes...

the answer was too obvious...

you could ask them whatever you wish.

just go look at the voting record for each of the candidates and you can come to your own conclusion.

one is concerned for his country.

the other is just concerned for himself.

i will allow you to decide which way that falls.
