red930 Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 FYI I just ran into a problem that I thought I wouldn't see. I am aware that Windows XP already has a 2.2TB limit on volume size but I had planned for that limit. When configuring four Seagate 750GB drives in a RAID-0 array I ran into a little known nVidia problem. The nVidia 590 chipset has an artificial limit of 2TB(terabyte) on the size of a stripe. It also affects the stripe size for a RAID-5 array. According to my research, nVidia will change this limit when they release a driver later this fall. custom_coms Posted August 31, 2006 Posted August 31, 2006 OCZ Special before the boards..lol. Sounds like a special edition ram just to hype both the ram and the mobo (similar to the nF4 OCZ Special) since C2D is stealing all the spotlights at the moment...
