metro_oc.cl Posted September 19, 2004 Posted September 19, 2004 so why would a clear cmos for a long time would help, is it true or just something weird??? i might try it later, right now im at 225*11.5@ 1.775v completely stable thats mi daily oc to works its almost 2600mhz
soundx98 Posted September 19, 2004 Posted September 19, 2004 flashed from optimized defaults. Twice using winflash! Bootblock, DMI, and Clear CMOS checked. Shut down (not reboot), Kill PSU, clear cmos jumper moved, battery pulled. sleep. I do wear a special costume will sleeping and perform just a little dance before retiring and when I get up. put everything back to normal and boot. metro - weird? what in the world are you talking about. truthfully, I think the war mod and L12 are what did it. The OCZ 520 PSU didn't hurt at all either.

Same thing here. Clear cmos, load optimized defaults, restart, flash, restart, load defaults, clear again... et voila. Best oc I've ever gotten on my board. Dunno why but it works miracles, the clear thingy.

I thought that L12 mod was already built-in in the bios  I've noticed my PSU is falling to 11.5v when I push the system from 2.650MHz up... guess it's time for a new one to add some juice to this baby
FlyingHamster Posted September 20, 2004 Posted September 20, 2004 thnx soundx, will try that and let u know how it goes 2morrow. gotta find a costume now... denzil- are u running 252x10.5 prime stable? thats amazing. what cooling are u using on the cpu? Denzil Posted September 20, 2004 Posted September 20, 2004 I'm on watercooling [42ºc on full load, which ain't bad I guess ] Yes, it's 8h PrimeStable, stopped testing at that time cause I wanted to test more fsb Tested 253 but crashed after 30minutes [may be related to *] So I left it like this. I can't raise more the multi because [*]my PSU can't handle it 11.55v is what I get on +12v when on full load  and if it gets less than that I get a reboot Thinking about buying an OCZ POWERSTREAM 420W [33A on +12v] or ENERMAX EG 475AX-VE(G) SFMA [15A on +12v1 & 16A on +12v2 - yes it's dual rail +12v]... but I'm more inclined for the OCZ one because of the regulating rails [+3v, +5v & +12v] :eek2:

FlyingHamster Posted September 20, 2004 Posted September 20, 2004 hey soundx and denzil, since yall are around 250x10.5, could u tell me a few of ur settings in your bios? agp clock setting (66,67,68,etc) DDR DRAM Clock AGP voltage chipset voltage (VDD) AGP latency (32,64,255,etc) would really appreciate it. deception`` Posted September 20, 2004 Posted September 20, 2004 I found 250x10.5 to be very easy on my 2600+ and OCZ. I used the following: AGP = 66 Mhz [Locked], Latency 32, Apeture 256 Chipset = 1.8 AGP = 1.8 DDR = 3.3 volts, 2-2-2-11-13-15 (Cas) 5-6-4-3-3-4-5 (Alpha) A-A-A-A-A-A (Driving/Slew)
