I think everyone knows I might be a racing fan :P F1 is awesome, the technology behind those cars is something else! Quite a few times during the season, I make sure I'm up in the middle of the night to watch the race live  I still get angry when I think about Ecclestone's ego and the US Grand Prix that is no longer, man I loved going to that race when it was here! But, Ecclestone is a douche :-/

I also like Hamilton, as well as anyone beating the Ferrari's :D

There will be a race in Austin, TX next year...can't . wait...will be there with my mom.

Been following Scuderia Ferrari for decades, when the likes of Nkki Lauda and Jodi Scheckter (a fellow South African, where y'at Nyt) were driving for them in the 70s. My parents used to take me to the track @ Kyalami when I was like 3. In fact, one of my earliest memories was from a race there when a bee flew into my Fanta. Ah those were the days

I think Schekter was the last Ferrari World Champion before Schumi started his streak!

Vettel is hands down the man, unfortunately. I'd like to see team RED show up for a change some time soon.

The ramp in technology and speed and closeness of the races (finishes with thousandths of seconds separating places) is amazing to me. The drivers nowadays must be PERFECT. One mistake by them or the pit crew and it's over.

Personally, I prefer tires that last longer because I don't want a race decided by a poor pitstop, but hey that's me :yucky:

Unfortunately I dont get a chance to watch as often as I would prefer, but i like Hamilton.

And, I gotta respect Rubens Barrichello, after all, he is faster than the Stig!!!

Is Vettel the best driver at the moment or do Red Bull have the best car? Interesting question.

It would be nice if they all had the exact same car then it came down to driver skill but that would destroy the whole team system so for the moment I suppose money talks?

I think its the driver. Vettel gets so much more out of the car than Webber, don't get me wrong though Webber is a brilliant driver.

I'd say its 50-50 car/driver. look at massa vs alonso, schumacher vs rosberg, vetel vs weber. but then its also the car, look at how in 2009 Button wins the championship for Brawn with 6 wins 9 total podiums, then next year only gets 2 wins and 7 podiums with mclaren.

You also dont know whether or not teams favour one driver. i remember Webber being very vocal last season about Sebastian Vettel getting upgrades before Webber did even though Webber was leading the championship.

Personally i'm a ferarri man since the Schuie-Irvine years. Also like Button.

Use to be a Schumacher fan back in the day. Not so much now. Still a great driver, just not getting the results.

Vettel is just on fire!

I really like Button and Vettel. While absolutely HATING Lewis Hamilton & Fernando Alonso. Last weeks race was PERFECT. Both the drivers I despise crash out! :D :D :D :D

Button was amazing!

Still a through and through Schumacher fan. It's sad he's not getting the results, but, Canada was extremely close I guess. Just hoping it's a matter of time. Don't prefer Hamilton much, because of his attitude (?).

They most certainly do. Another example would be the Alonso v/s Hamilton battle at McLaren back in 2008. Also, even this season, whenever I see the races, it seems like only Webber's car which has one problem or another, yet to see one on Vettel's car.

And what's wrong with the teams favouring one driver over another? At the end of the Day, back the better driver. Its not socialism with all things having to be equal.

If that was the case, all the cars would be the same.

In my opinion, favoring one driver over another is wrong, I mean what's the point in signing a driver on, paying him a very handsome wage to win a championship, then go off and say, right he's getting an upgrade you're not.

I would quit in that situation whether I was being favored or not. McLaren with Hamilton and Button, currently know they cannot pull it off to favor one. I mean with two former world champions, they could easily just leave and sign on elsewhere.

How altruistic of you! :whistling: Me, I'd race cause there is no better "job" in the world. 7 or 8 figure salaries for RACING CARS!
