sheldorisafk Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 (edited) Edited for changing my mind. They're nice but not quite enough reason for me to ditch my 955. Edited April 27, 2010 by sheldorisafk

CowKing Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 seems the 1090T performs better with multicore support, even with intel's hyperthreading
_TheAlexO Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 Looks like i need to save up a little. obviously not a huge improvement from a 940 but still, i just want it for bragging rights
jlqrb Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 There are quite a bit of people on the forum right now. I'm sure they are all reading this review! Great review Alan! :thumbs-up:
potatochobit Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 how would you rate this compared to a 750 or 860? is the extra 100$ totally worth spending for 2 more cores?
ccokeman Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 Has a hard time competing with the 4core 8 thread chips at similar clock speeds. It does however show large gains over the Phenom 4 core chips. I can't believe the pricing though for 6 cores at 300 bucks is amazing. Against the 860 nope I dont think its worth the money since you are running 8 threads verses 6 in programs that support multiple threads. Bosco Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 how would you rate this compared to a 750 or 860? is the extra 100$ totally worth spending for 2 more cores? IMO its a tough call. The biggest issue we have right now is nothing really uses all the cores yet. For future proofing its a good idea but performance wise I dunno I am kinda leaning towards some of the quads but thats me

For future proofing its a good idea but performance wise I dunno I am kinda leaning towards some of the quads but thats me +1 there's my 920 @ 4Ghz, the 1090T scores 5.2 stock & 6.2 @ 4.1Ghz just for comparison (since the review only had a 920 @ stock clocks)
