ARGH!

I know sometimes you guys here get you panties in a bunch (rightfully so, after all a rule broken is a rule broken) over signatures getting a little big but JFC some forums are OUT OF CONTROL!

It makes me proud to belong to a forum with sane rules.

I know I'm just complaining about crap and I realize that you can turn off the signatures on most forums but sometimes all I can just do is facepalm whenever I see some forums.

Thoughts?

EDIT:

and yes I remember doing something very similar to this thread awhile back, so if my beaching and whining sounds familiar it probably is...

Most of those forums are game specific sites. Users with seriously long sigs.
It can be about anything though, porn forums (I'm just guessing here  ), gun forums, game forums, other hardware forums etc.

What set me off was when I was looking through Futurama Fan Forums.

It especially pisses me off when there is good information on the forum and you feel that they would be better known and or have more members if their members were more mature and they tamed their members 1/4 page long sigs.

Another thing is avatars, I should have done a question about them as well.

Some forums allow ridiculously sized avatars as well, or like gigantic MB sized GIFs...

*cringes*

Well, I can't really answer this poll because it depends on the website.

I like a large signature limit for graphics websites, it allows users to be more creative with the canvas they're offered.

1) No. Although I dislike idiots who put gigantic pics in their sigs, i can't dislike a website for it.

2) Doesn't bother me. 10+ lines, within reason (like 15?) is alright mith me, nothing crazy though

3) Yes. For having the nads to put that up there :P

In my opinion I dislike the website for it because they allow it, sad thing is the moderators/admins on some of the websites I've seen can be some of the worst offenders.

I mean if Bosco wanted a 800x800 picture and 15 lines of text in his sig then so be it, he however has the common decency and professionalism not to.

Even still... I wouldn't like it I guess... Maybe I'm just a prick but I despise having to scroll through someones artwork just to read the thread.

(and yes like I said above, I do know you can turn it off or even turn images completely off in your browser)

If the limit was a little higher than what is on here I wouldn't mind it... wish I could have had a few extra 100 pixels to use for signature then I could have had the full size of my Gurren Lagann sig... but it had to be cliped. :(

Grossly oversized ones like I've seen though yeah I don't like em.
