what is a good z77 motherboard for around $150?


case: Corsair Carbide 500r

processor: Intel core i5 3570k @ 4GHz (1.104v)

cooling: Xigmatek Dark Knight II Black Hawk Edition

motherboard: Asus P8Z77-V

GPU: Evga GTX 680 superclocked

Ram: Corsair vengence 4gbx2 @ 1600MHZ

PSU: Seasonic 750w

Hard Drive: Seagate Barracuda 2TB

OS: Windows 8 Pro 64-bit

It really depends on what features you need.

 

I needed ATX and Crossfire

I also wanted the ability to go SLI in the future, if I choose to.

 

I just purchased this one:  http://ncix.com/products/?sku=76791  a few days ago,, I am just setting it all up now.  Good so far.  Tons of features in the BIOS.

asus all the way and if you can find a open box on newegg you save a bunch of money.

I have the Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD3H and love it. Mine is setup with an mSATA 60 gig I use for the boot drive, very nice...

On this one I give thumbs up to Ed.....  The Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD3H.  Or if you can swing another $19 over your budget the UD4H  :)

for $50 more you can get the Asus Maximus V GENE. It's a high performer and mATX.

 

Just a thought....the one dr.bowtie posted is good too.

Just been reading about bad RMA stuff about ASUS.

I am on my second ASUS board and it is good, but I'd hate to have to RMA with them.

I am very impressed with the Gigabyte Z77N-WiFi. It is an ITX board but really solid.
