My Corsair XMS 4400 c25 PT will boot with 510-2 and 510-3 but not 510-1... I thought my ram was TCCD and 510-1 was for TCCD? anyone?

Doesnt matter what chips are on your sticks.. Nothing is written in stone.. If -2 and -3 work then stick with those..

i'm not quite sure what you're saying ;), but if you're not happy with the new bios, go back to the last version you were using! :D

Its just that the different bios numbers are a pain in the butt!!

techpowerup.com's bios page states

-1 for both kinds of rams

-3 for TCCD etc.

-2 for BH5/CH5 etc"

http://www.techpowerup.com/articles/other/114

pershoot says :

-1 tccd/tccc 3.26 dram table

-2 bh/ch 3.16 dram table

-3 both/misc./generic 3.10 dram table

Then THunDA says to just use what works best!

I've heard other different combinations too! GAH!

what i stated is correct for descriptory purposes. however, you should try all 3 to see which works best for you. nothing is set in stone, as thunda stated.

I'm having some minor memory issues using the 3/10 Bios and I heard that I should try out a 5/10 BIOS. So I figured I'd go ahead flash to the 510, but I'm not sure which one to use (1, 2, or 3)? Any suggestions for this RAM? Anyone actually using this RAM or similar? :

GeIL 2 X 512 Kit - Blue Heatspreaders and rated for 2.5, 4, 4, 8 1T

Product link: http://www.geilusa.com/proddetail.asp?linenumber=36

I have no idea what chips (TCCD, BH-5, ??) they are using. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.
