Hi

Can I use this PSU ?

SevenTeam ST-550EAG

This is 550W EPS 12V 24 + 8 pin

There are any diference between ATX 2.0 and EPS ?

Setup

Venice 3000+ (overclocked at maximum)

Corsair XMS V1.2

DFI NF4

6800U (future SLI)

Audigy 2 ZS

120 GB Barracuda 7200.7

The other option, more expensive, Enermax 535W SLI.

Thanks.

Yes you can use any PSU that has native 24-pin ATX & 480W or more.

The EPS connector won'y be used on a none EPS mobo,

but it doesn't hurt anything & can always be adapted to something useful.

I recommend sticking with "proven-winners", see post #1 for details.

It might be that I misread or didn't quite understand the initial post, even though it was quite covering :).

But my signature shows the setup I am getting this week and I bought the psu in belif that it would be sufficient to support a sli setup. I plan to buy an additional card later this summer as well as AMD +2 when it arrives. It would be nice not to swap psu then.

Thanks :)

OCZ ModStream PSU 520W
No, not recommended for SLI.

The OCZ PowerStream 520W is fine up through dual 6800U's,

with the Enermax 535W SLI-Ready as a second choice.

If you plan on ever running the new "soon to market" 150W VC's in SLI,

then the OCZ PowerStream 600W or the Enermax 600W SLI-Certified (#701)

would be a better choice.

I was afraid you gonna say that, the PSU market here are very limited.

The Enermax 535W SLI cost +200$, can't find anywhere on stock, allways 30 or 60 days wait.

7team 550W cost 145$ on Stock

I'm trying to find the ANTEC Smartpower 2.0 SP500, this one can handle a SLI Setup ? right ?

No the SmartPower 500W was not designed to handle SLI. The True Power 550W can.

Where are you?

Brazil ;)

Antec TP 550W must be aroud 250$ Special Order, 30 days wait.

I guess I'll have to wait a few weeks to get my self a 535W SLI.

Sometimes it's easy to buy two PSU then only one with enough power.

Never, because, this prices are without taxes and import duties, kinda "ilegal" hardware  I need someone to supply the products first

To have a idea of how much this will cost, Newegg price + shipping + 60% import taxes + 15% state taxes =

The other method, Newegg price + 100$, but in this case the they wait 7 or 10 days until get more quantities (BIG) and send to a receiver in brazil that will re-shipp to the final customer. Sometimes this merchandise are apreended by the feds (our IRS hehe)

Back to the topic.

I saw the OCZ PS 520W as a SLI option, but it have only 33A and only one +12V line.

AND

Enermax 535W SLI can really handle this setup ?

Venice 3000 - OC (1.55v mas vcore) Water Cooled.

1GB Corsair XMS3200 XL1.2 ( 300Mhz if possible)

2x6800Ultra (the 2nd will come only next year)

HD 7200.7 Seagate NCQ 120GB

Audigy 2 ZS

DVD

2x 120mm Fan + Fan controller (0.5A each)

Please say yes

Yes, the OCZ PowerStream 520W is used by Anandtech for their SLI testing &

is proven to run twin 6800U's with OC'ing.

The Enermax 535W SLI-Ready should also run them.

I recommend the OCZ PowerStream 600W or the Enermax 600W SLI-Certified (#701)

for the new "soon to market" 150W VC's.

Good Luck down there! Are you a native or ?

But won't the Modstream only not be sufficient if you also plan to OC rather hard? Seeing as the Modstream has 520W: +3.3V(28A), +5V(52A), +12V(28A) and the Powerstream 520W: +3.3V(28A), +5V(40A), +12V(33A) .

It might be I am on a looong way out of reach now, but seeing as OC requires more output, preferably stable too, it should be possible to run with a SLI setup with the Modstream, but then be limited on the OC part?

and thanks for the answer so far though :)
