kobalt Posted August 29, 2005 Posted August 29, 2005 Connecting 2 psu together for pelts or too much stuff If you want or need to wire 2 PSU, (you all know the green and black wire trick right!) well always use an unused 4 pin molex black, not a mobo one. Why? Cause doing that you create a common ground, which will shut down both psu when one or the other has trouble and if that common ground is a mobo one, you'll probably send current trough the mobo side, which is one of the wire you connected the common ground to and of course juice dosn't know which is the fastest way to ground, so it goes both ways, to the ground and to your mobo and that's not good So always use an unused 4 pin molex black, or if you like many others dont have an unused one, connect fans on it or something
anthony Posted August 29, 2005 Posted August 29, 2005 (edited) ^ Kobalt what about not soldering fan wires inside your case? and especially not with it turned on ! Edited August 29, 2005 by roadkill
Kamikaze_Badger Posted August 29, 2005 Posted August 29, 2005 -A Volcano 7+ fan moves very very fast. It dosn't like fingers either. -Dremel cutting wheels don't like fingers as well. -Neither does molten plastic. -Thermaltake retainer clips are a pain to get on, and once again, do not like fingers. -Sharp case edges may cause blood flow, and blood is conductive. -Plugging in drives and lights while your computer is on = BAD! Matthew585 Posted August 29, 2005 Posted August 29, 2005 I have 3.... Never put your finger in a fan going 6,000 rpms Never pull on your video card to take it out without checking what you are grabbing (RIP 9800 pro) Heatsinks are very hot when they are in use. martymcfly Posted August 29, 2005 Posted August 29, 2005 oh yea, -when given a choice between dremeling plexi and dremeling steel - choose the steel.
Kamikaze_Badger Posted August 29, 2005 Posted August 29, 2005 I prefer plexi, actually... steel eats up wheels like women do chocolate. And one more: -Dremel cutting wheels going at 35,000 RPM REALLY $*!%ING HURT!
