Prunes Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 It looks like I might have to save some money and get that 680. If those Toms hardware pics are correct, I can't resist.
Bosco Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 How about dropping some overclocked benchmark numbers? Sorry can't go that far
DanTheGamer11 Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 Dan calm down. Everything should be revealed before long, just wait. Well, if it does get revealed in March like some say. ARRGGGGHHHH!!! Too many leaks and 'reviews', this week or next You guys know all the answers to our questions I wonder what AMD would be like if it had more cores with less stress on each... Guest_Jim_* Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 Sorry can't go that far How about folding PPD? Don't nee numbers. "Kick ass" is an acceptable response for me
NikoDG Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 I will say this. Nvidia did a better job then AMD did in overclocking. My GPU overclock is 305mhz above stock with no voltage what does that tell ya Nvidia will take the performance crown, by a lot in some games not so much in others, but make no mistake about it AMD's prices will have to come down. Just so we are clear, this is the first of their cards, we are expecting even more powerful cards over the next couple of months. More powerful cards? Do they already have the 7xx series ready or something? Or are you talking about the 690? Maybe a 685? I need to know!!!
Fogel Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 Man, I so can't wait for the OCC review. The HD 7970 is typically 245MHz above stock with no voltage overclock. I wonder how much a voltage adjustment Keplar can handle with watercooling. So the GTX 680 is really going to be what the GTX 570 was? Speaking of which, how much of an OC did you get out of your 570s without a voltage overclock? And Bosco, you rule man. If there was a hug emoti I would use it here ...but not in a freaky El_Cap sorta way.

If there was a hug emoti I would use it here ...but not in a freaky El_Cap sorta way. Hey now, my hug's aren't freaky, just hard... Ahem, at any rate, here's the best overclock from a GTX 570 I had from a while ago: Core Voltage | Core Clock | Shader Clock | Memory Clock (in MSI Afterburner) 1150 | 1000 | 2000 | 2260 (BIOS flash) 1100 | 960 | 1920 | 2260 1050 | 920 | 1840 | 2260 1000 | 880 | 1760 | 2260 963 | 790 | 1600 | 2260 963 | 732 | 1464 | 1900 (Stock) A 62MHz overclock with stock voltages, and 268MHz overclock with the max safe voltage at 1150mV's (some would say less than safe, but meh). NikoDG Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 Maybe I guess we'll know more on the 22/23rd?

Stonerboy779 Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 How about folding PPD? Don't nee numbers. "Kick butt" is an acceptable response for me Pretty sure Bosco could "accidentally" release an indication of performance by folding for 24 hours. We would just need to watch his points
Fogel Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 More powerful cards? Do they already have the 7xx series ready or something? Or are you talking about the 690? Maybe a 685? I need to know!!! From what I've read: GK104 - March 23 GK110 - Q3/Q4 2012 ...obviously speculation, doubt we'll get Bosco to confirm/deny ...but Aug/Sept is likely choice right now I originally heard 2013 for GK110 but the newest rumors say Q3/Q4. Supposedly the GK110 line will be the upper end. and I think single GPU. This roadmap shows 110 being dual GPUs but I have also heard the dual GPU variants being separate from the GK110 lineup. So much false information running around it is really hard to know what to trust. Hey now, my hug's aren't freaky, just hard... Sure you want to use that word? Very nice! So in direct response to my question, 58MHz. Which manufacturer were your 570s again ...and I'm guessing you are WCing for all of those?
