Rosco Posted January 1, 2012 Posted January 1, 2012 Ok so in the very near feature I will be doing a complete transplant of my pc from my HAF 922 to a SC Storm Trooper and in order to do this I need to remove my silver arrow, not a big deal I know but I seem to have run out of TIM (I have no more CF3 left) and there is no local store in SA that supplies it. Now I need a replacement, I would prefer to have the safest option (the CF3 is a non conductive and non corrosive TIM) and I want to get something in that line. I plan to do some Heavy OC'ing once I get my new PSU so the TIM has to be up to the task. So far I have been looking at the Antec Formula 7 nano diamond thermal compound, is this compound any good? Need some advice Thanks in advance

scr4wl Posted January 1, 2012 Posted January 1, 2012 Artic Silver 5 Noctua Nh-t1 Ic Diamond +1 on the last two. I've gotten tired of the curing time for AS5 though, especially now that its not the king of compounds.
Rosco Posted January 1, 2012 Posted January 1, 2012 I read that Antec Formula 7 is the same as Ic Diamond although Arctic MX-4 seems to be very popular as well. Basically I have to choose between Antec Formula 7 and Arctic MX-4. I want the one that will perform the best without a lot of hassle (I read that Ic Diamond is a real bugger to apply but that Antec Formula 7 isn't but i can't find and definitive reviews)

AS5 is overated. NH-T1 is pretty good and prolimatechs PK-
Andrewr05 Posted January 1, 2012 Posted January 1, 2012 I use OCZ freeze, works fine for me and it leaves far less of a mess than AS5.
