Stonerboy779 Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 The silverstone strider gold 1200 watt sticks to the standard size but the 1500 watt strider is extended in size.
MJCRO Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 Just go with an Corsair AX1200. should be more than enough power.
Stonerboy779 Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 Just go with an Corsair AX1200. should be more than enough power. Corsair Professional Series Gold AX1200 was $299 now $287. Silverstone Strider Gold ST1200 was $299 down to $280 then $259 after MIR. The AX1200 is longer (not by much) and has less pci-e connectors (although still has 6x pci-e 6+2 connectors) and then it cost more (money always the best thing to save on)
MJCRO Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 I just love Corsair for their warranty's. Great customer service too. SeaSonic's are awesome too, nice strong 104A on the 12V rail.

Boinker Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 I wouldn't go 1500 Watts. I would go for a continuous 1kw or 1.2kw. The corsair ax1200, PC power and cooling 1200 Watt, or the coolermaster silent pro gold 1000 or 1200watt power supplies should do you Well. My thoughts. That Seasonic is definitely a great PSU oh an Silverstone PSUs only come with a 3 year warranty apposed to some Corsair products like the AX1200 which come with 7 and Seasonic has a 5 year warrenty from point of manufavture not sale although is one of the most hoghly regarded PSU brands. OP you really couldn't go wrong with any one of these three.
IVIYTH0S Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 In light of the new advice, I'd say go with the Strider!
NikoDG Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 In light of the new advice, I'd say go with the Strider! Yeah a gold 1200W PSU that is shorter in length sounds great to me, might be able to go from a triple 120mm radiator to a triple 140mm, even if I can't the extra space is still great.
