edwardquilo Posted August 12, 2011 Posted August 12, 2011 Well, we probably won't be getting Half Life: Episode 3 anytime soon, but Counter:Strike players should be very pleased with Valve's (supposed) next game: Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. Several sources strongly indicate that Valve is making a Counter:Strike game, but we don't have enough details yet to confirm if its an add-on to Counter-Strike: Source or a brand new Counter-Strike title. But take a peek at the Twitter #CSGO that's trending right now, and get hyped along with other CS fans.

WhenKittensATK Posted August 12, 2011 Posted August 12, 2011 (edited) Steam Page is up: http://store.steampowered.com/app/1800/ CS: GO features new maps, characters, and weapons and delivers updated versions of the classic CS content (de_dust, etc.). In addition, CS: GO will introduce new gameplay modes, matchmaking, leader boards, and more. CS: GO promises to expand on CS' award-winning gameplay and deliver it to gamers on the PC as well as the next gen consoles and the Mac. CS: GO is being developed by Valve in cooperation with Seattle-based Hidden Path Entertainment. The title is targeted for release in early 2012 and will be playable at this year's PAX Prime and Eurogamer Expo 2011. ClayMeow Posted August 12, 2011 Posted August 12, 2011 Leaked screenshot of CS:GO CS is a dead beaten horse, I respect the original for what it stood for though...and for the fun I once had in it Which would be a good reason for a sequel . I don't play it much anymore, but I do still find it enjoyable, especially gun game.
sack_patrol Posted August 12, 2011 Posted August 12, 2011 I don't see how it's a good idea to make a new CS before Ep3. They shoulda' just made the Ep3 with hopefully a new engine and along with that release CS and HL3DM or something. Valve is turning into a fail. Support of next gen consoles??? Rly??? go fail somewhere else. Not that css is going to be worth anything on any console ever if it's what the previous games were, but still.. Deathmineral Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 ITT: people being crybabies. I know I'm not the best person to say this sort of thing but you really don't have to play this, or even consider it for that matter. This isn't some crappy BF or CoD game, you don't have to worry about Valve making CS or CSS crappy in order to increase sales on their next titles like all the other shooter developers out there. So just chill out, wait, and see what it's like, if you don't like it, you can still play CSS, I doubt that game will ever go out of style.
