Zertz Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 yes , that maybe true but count the whole world .... just one question why did they make a board like this it is meant for the 30 inch displays and up owners ...? and i think they are satisfied with 2 or three cards .... Even in the whole world... the amount of people running 3 or 4 graphics card in a single PC is negligible. Even 2-way CrossFire/SLI is hardly popular. If you can afford this board ($400+) and 3-4 cards (easily over $1000)... it's safe to assume you can afford a 30" display.

Zertz Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 Yeah, so EVGA wins. Congrats :thumbs-up: I'm sure you wouldn't mind giving that setup a couple runs under LN2
hardnrg Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 Which one of you made their own Alu techbench? Just make a slightly wider one lol
undeadghost Posted September 20, 2009 Posted September 20, 2009 Yeah that's stupid... Packing seven PCI-E slots on an ATX board is feasible... For example, look at the MSI 790FX-GD70, which can run quad-crossfireX with dual-slot cards, and is ATX. Clearly, there is room for seven PCI-E slots. they need the space for dual slot coolers and longer cards? who knows xD
undeadghost Posted September 20, 2009 Posted September 20, 2009 It's a small niche market. Most mainstream users aren't going to run out and buy 4 285s, 1500watt+ power supplies, and $500+ motherboards. Enabling 4 way SLI isn't going to "hit ATI" in any way. Selling a 285 for $150 would "hit ATI" where it really hurts-midrange pricies. Lol yeah, most users will probably use only 1-2 gfx cards max. It's for the enthusiasts and stupid ppl like my friend who bought tri-sli board and 3 gtx260 just let to let it sit there and depreciate >_>...
