MACarter02 Posted November 16, 2006 Posted November 16, 2006 Who plans to integrate Blue Ray into their lives in one way or another in the next 6 months? PS3 INCLUDED!

red930 Posted November 16, 2006 Posted November 16, 2006 Hell no. Not a lot of support at the time being. I don't own an HDTV. Too pricy. Too buggy. I don't think so. I'll ride it out with my trusty stack of DVD's
allthatwhichis Posted November 16, 2006 Posted November 16, 2006 I plan to get a PS3 and sell it on eBay. So to answer trufally, yes... :tooth: It will have to enter my life, at least for a 1 or 2 day auction... :shake:
General Septem Posted November 16, 2006 Posted November 16, 2006 Once you go High-Def, you don't go back. Plus, I imagine sooner or later there's going to be Blu-Ray-ROM for the computer or something, and that would be useful since they hold much more than a DVD. dr_bowtie Posted November 16, 2006 Posted November 16, 2006 no plan on it.... I Seen a Plextor Blue-ray burner the other day...$895.00 are they on crack.... who in the heck in their right mind would buy something like that... I'll sacrifice a little quality for a 29.00 burner....thats just nuts...I've been watching regular tv for 30 years or better so.... the same isnt gonna bother me... beside the picture on my large x huge big screen is pretty sharp compared to cheaper models of yesteryears.... taowulf Posted November 16, 2006 Posted November 16, 2006 I'll pass. Maybe I will will get one if I pick up a PS3 at some point in the future for Gran Turismo XXXX, but buy one outright? No, not unless it has been proven to not be the Betamax successor. HD-DVD isn't going to float my boat until AFTER the TV's in the house are all upgraded. I be slow, yo. dab Posted November 16, 2006 Posted November 16, 2006 I'm still hoping for a PS3 for Xmas, although I doubt anyone loves me that much...
MACarter02 Posted November 16, 2006 Posted November 16, 2006 yea the thing about the PS3 is that you CAN get the model without the blueray player. Supposed to be 100 less or so. So even if you get the PS3 you arent necessarily getting BR
eelemus Posted November 16, 2006 Posted November 16, 2006 if they did that then they would have to release 2 versions of every game and then the confusion about what game to buy that is compatable and having the stock 2x the games....i dont really think that is a viable option
