Angry_Games Posted May 29, 2006 Posted May 29, 2006 as I've shown everyone in the AMD Overclocking section, dividers are not evil anymore...the A64's integrated memory controller makes actual memory speeds a moot point...it is all about cpu mhz on these cpu's. WR6X Posted May 29, 2006 Posted May 29, 2006 @ AG What Vcore do you use in the bios? (I presume these are all the same on every board) This because I can use the 11x multi up to FBS 225. Still with te 4/25 bios.
learners permit Posted May 29, 2006 Posted May 29, 2006 Unfortunately this core has a throtlle stop set at 2700mhz regardless of mem speed but I'm thinking an FX-57 will suit my needs just fine in the future. Maybe then I'll be able to see just how well the board is put together.

I'll have to take pics of this current set when I am done doing the benches, but I think it is 1.500v + 102.4% (or 1.525v + 102.4%) I'll find out in a little bit lol

This is the CPU VID special control. That I see. But what does it exactly? Greetz Erik
Angry_Games Posted May 29, 2006 Posted May 29, 2006 How must I see the 102.4%? This is the CPU VID special control. That I see. But what does it exactly? Greetz Erik it allows much more precise control of voltage it involves math lol 1.400v + 110% = ....? :tooth:
WR6X Posted May 29, 2006 Posted May 29, 2006 it allows much more precise control of voltage it involves math lol 1.400v + 110% = ....? :tooth: Euh.... 1.54? I understand. You can make smaller steps between te normal (0.025V) steps. Thanx.
Angry_Games Posted May 29, 2006 Posted May 29, 2006 if you look in the AMD Overclocking section, you will find the chart that has the VID + Special already calculated for you
linflas Posted May 30, 2006 Posted May 30, 2006 johnmike, well, I am not to the point of RMA, as the it is just the ULI controller I am having aproblem with, i do not think the board is damamged, I think it is soley a driver/bios issue, I will continue to stick to it. Yes this is a fresh install as when I went to the uli controller yesterday, so did a clean install, not an image, but completely from scratch. thx for your help anyway guys UPDATE: well after tweaking a few settings in the bios, monkeying around with drive strength, and advancing the ram 150ps on the orange slots, I have greatly reduced the number of errors, I think I just need to continue to adjust the settings until I get this right, but, I think I am close now. Angry_Games- the mft file errors with diskeeper, and the page file timeouts inside of event viewer, really make me believe their is a flaw in the uli drivers in windows itself, it would seem to me that their is some sort of error in the way the driver associates with the windows paging file structure. Just a shot in the dark, but seems to make some sense. I still have a a great deal of errors when attempting a defrag, would some of you who have fixed their problems attempt a defrag, and let me know what program used and if they ran into errors.
