robAP Posted November 17, 2008 Posted November 17, 2008 (edited) In the US here, we will supposedly get the MK2 finally in 2010 or 11 when they introduce the fiesta (8th gen) here as well. It's the same platform as the volvo s40 and mazda 3 here in the US as well. The big problem is that they cant make a decent car here unless they import a ford of EU product. I really liked my wifes 1st gen focus, each year that went by FORD-us softened it and changed little things, making it a modern 90's Escort. cant wait. I just hope we also get the Volvo 5cyl in it. Also cant wait till they give us that fiesta. gonna be a FUN ride and probably change my mind form MINI to FIESTA. Strictly speaking, the throttle, steering rack and brakes, are not inside the car I can voice control fans, temperature, heated front and rear screen and wing mirrors, music, radio, CD changer, satnav and phone calls. Hooray! And good luck to the USA getting the Volvo 5-pot. It's good for 220 bhp as standard with a turbo, which can take the FoMoCo chassis for the Focus/Mazda3/S40 chassis to 62 mph in about 6.5 seconds.
