30fps difference in BF3 is pretty big. A lot of games that I'll play will be running Frostbyte 2.

I do like the 7950 and definitely considering it, I need to make up my mind in a few hours lol. Good price, good performance. I like the software features nvidia provide especially their drivers compared to AMD.

It is a $100 difference, I think it might be worth it though. I skimped on my last card getting the 5850, I'd rather not make that mistake again. In a month or two I would forget all about the $100, which is why I'm also considering saying screw it and getting the 680 :P

Not seeing the 30 FPS my friend. :teehee:

here's skyrim from some of those sites that had it

Haven't a lick of trouble with my 7950 I'd have you know :P Skyrim purrs modded to feces. You say you skimped on the 5850...yet you're still running it today. What'd you lose, maybe 2-3 months extra before we'd have this conversation if you had gotten a 480 or 5870?? :P Just trying to be realistic here :P

I'm with Mythos.. With the prices and the performance boost the 7950 is gonna get, IMO it's a good deal to consider..

30 FPS wouldn't make a difference if the 7950 can still hit 60+ FPS (Unless you have 120Hz monitor)

If I could, I'd safe the money for two more screens + another 7950

I would get the GTX 660Ti, it will deliver the same gaming experience as a GTX 670 at 1080 resolutions and do it for $100 less. I run with vsycn on in my games and I can tell you that every game that was pegged at 60 FPS with a 670 or a 7950 is still pegged at 60 FPS with a 670 and the same detail settings.

This is also a worthwhile suggestion, by the time the memory limits you, likely the GPU itself would. It's more balanced
