ClayMeow Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 I don't care to read any of your posts because there's no point in debating this here on OCC. But I will say one thing...yes, there is a "tax" on those that refuse to buy the "mandatory" health care, but there is NO PENALTY for not paying said tax (unlike, say, not paying your income tax). So, in essence, can it really be considered mandatory?
CowKing Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 This all sounds just dandy. Except for the fact that it is all impossible. We play our video games, watch movies and buy new phones and text message. We have no interest in anything that is going on around us. "Oh the government doesn't want to hurt us they care". B******T. They can give two S***** about us living or dying. As a matter of fact their are interviews and documentation that they want to cut the world population in half by any means. I have come to a conclusion, I no longer think the Global Elitist New World Order agenda is a conspiracy therory. I truly think this is fact. The evidence is just overwhelming. I have read and watched so many things now. The best way to hide something is right in your face, They are so arrogant that they literally tell us they want to control every aspect of our life right to our face and we do nothing. I'm ready for 1776 redux. Tear it down and start over. Lets take it while there is still a chance. They crap all over the Constitution everyday now. It needs to stop. Since I'm just a dumb liberal and don't have the intelligence to look for this myself, could you give me some sources so that I might be enlightened by what you say? Really? This has nothing to do with liberal/conservative or repulican/democrat. This has everything to do with scumbag low lifes that want power, money and control. Two factions with the same father. But here I will give you some names and you can go look for yourself: Daniel Estulin, Webster Tarpley, Gerald Celente, Alex Jones, Peter Joseph, Jim Tucker, Jacque Fresco, David Icke, Aaron Russo, (To a lesser extent but these are politicians that have come out against many things and have been made out to be "Nuts": Ron Paul, Jesse Ventura, Dennis Kucinich, Cynthia McKinney) Have fun and get back to me in a year or so when you get all that absorbed. J/K but seriously look into for yourself and draw your own conclusions.

wevsspot Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 For those of us potentially impacted by this ruling in a negative way (especially us that own small businesses), or others that just think the IRS already has enough power to abuse their own authority - here is a good read that boils it down; http://www.foxbusine...-intrusive-irs/ And some stats concerning small business and their impact on the US economy; Small firms:• Represent 99.7 percent of all employer firms.• Employ half of all private sector employees.• Pay 44 percent of total U.S. private payroll.• Generated 65 percent of net new jobs over the past 17 years.• Create more than half of the nonfarm private GDP.• Hire 43 percent of high tech workers ( scientists, engineers, computer programmers, and others).• Are 52 percent home-based and 2 percent franchises.• Made up 97.5 percent of all identified exporters and produced 31 percent of export value in FY 2008.• Produce 13 times more patents per employee than large patenting firms. Transk53 Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 (edited) From an outsiders pov, I never knew how deep this actually goes and means. Looks I am going to have to delve deeper into this issue. I won't go further than that due to having the NHS. However I do not understand how free health care can be such an issue! Hence why I need to educate myself on this. I mean no disrespect or offense on this post. I simply do not comprehend this issue. Edited June 29, 2012 by Transk53
Silas13013 Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 ^^ a large part of it is that Obama presented it. This is made evident by the fact that universal healthcare was intoduced in the 90's by republicans and passed Romneycare, which obamacare is very heavily based off of. However, when Obama introduced his bill, it was chewed appart and is a shadow and a poor imitation of its former self, which has caused the problems that most people have an issue with now. Then there are the racists and people who cry at every new tax. They are very small but scream loudly so we hear them a lot.

No offense, but if you look through CIA's World Fact book and look at various stats concerning health care, it clearly shows that people generally live longer, less diseases etc., if the country has health care for all. No offense meant. All my knowledge comes from brief excerpts from TV, internet articles and mostly from this.

My problem is with this healthcare bill. I don't like how it is written or how fast it was written and passed. I also have another problem. I don't want to pay for others to have healthcare. I want to pay for me to have healthcare. Sorry if that sounds mean but thats how it is.
Hyper Threaded Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 (edited) Great day for America. The one shred of regulation that makes private insurance companies do their damn job, has been upheld. The bill as a whole is too corporatist, but it's our first go at any sort of reform. Without it, the private insurance industry will continue to rip people off and not provide care. I'm not going to get involved with the idiots who say it's socialism or some other stupid "ism". You know you're full of a certain brown substance.
