What I use for a clean look and ease of use when doing hoses. Is zip ties. I have used them for years with barbs. I got the idea when I was a BMW performance tech and we would use them on all the vacum hoses on our race cars. I tried it one time and have never thought about it ever again, plus most people keep piles of them at the house. You can even put them on so they are almost not even noticable and they are very easy to remove.

Worm drive hose clamps for compression fittings. Herbie clips such as tue ones you linked are too much of a pain in the rear. Worm drive clamps are cheap and can be replaced often as you like. Compression fittings will last indefinatly so long as you do not break or.cross thread them. Ans a compression fitting that does not have a rotary affixed to it can have its oring replaced and basically be brand new after that.

Compression fitting $5

Barb fitting and clamp.$ 4.00 (price.will depend on fitting.purchased)

+1

I prefer Compression fittings over clamps due to looks.. if I have to use barbs's I use the worm drive clamps you can get at pretty much any hardware or auto parts store.

I use steel spring hose clamps. Although I've used about every clamp know to man without issue. These are affordable, reusable and the black coating makes them hard to see inside even a windowed case.

The ones from FrozenCPU are what I use with the steel worm-drive clamps.

My vote is to ditch the clamps and go for compression fittings. I do like what Wev has pointed out, but you can never surpass the look and reliability of good compression fittings. Monsoon has some really nice ones.
