neddamttocs Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 This week we would like to know if there are people out there that use Mail in Rebates? I know I've tried a couple and never got them but other people have got all of theirs. So do you try to get them? ======================== This weeks OCC Poll was suggested by Deathmineral. El_Capitan Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 Yes, I also keep track of which manufacturer's/resellers hold true to the MIR's as well.
spectrascope Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 Depends on the value of the rebate and the ease of doing it, though if it is parts for a customer I will almost always do it.
Stonerboy779 Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 When I bought my last monitor I was supposed to get $40 and never saw a cent not happy....
SpeedCrazy Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 (edited) Yes. My corsair one was rejected as it was for the previous month. The newegg blurb said valid through the end of the next month, i bought on the 27 of the month with a 34 day window to get it in, sent it in 4 days later and was rejected as the card i was sent was only valid for the previous month!!! bp9801 Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 I've sent in a few. I rarely get products with them though, since sometimes the MIR may have a few days left when I want to buy a product. Best and fastest one I ever got was from Verizon on my last phone. Got the rebate back 2 days later since it only had to go to El Paso, TX. xPETEZx Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 No such thing in the UK (thank GOD!) so I put other. I prefer my discount to be applied when I pay! Id get so annoyed if I saw an in-store price of £50, and then it turns out its actually £60, with £10 MIR. Mis-advertising if you ask me. malmsteenisgod Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 I always send them in, but I typically try to avoid purchasing items with MIR discounts.
gebraset Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 Send them in everytime. I have gotten every rebate back thus far, though obviously I have not done too many overall.
