kingdingeling Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 And YES, I realize that a lot of other countries are already paying a hell of a lot more for gas/petrol as well. True story! Ha! I pay £1.35 per LITRE here, which is $2.16 p/ltr ... so what, $8.18 per gallon. Hooray for British fuel tax! That's pretty good for petrol, but you ride a diesel? I've just done a quick calculation for Diesel (which is cheaper here), it's about 1.40€ / Liter, which makes it 1.96$ / liter, which is 7.41$ per gallon. Petrol ist 1.65€ / Liter, so 2.31$ per liter, which equals 8.73$ / gallon. If Diesel keeps going through the roof I may have to rethink my driving style in the Autobahns, usually I get bored of driving slowly (140km/h so ~75-80mph) within 10 minutes, then wait for the unlimited sign and floor it... Although I don't really care, cause when I drive it pedal to the metal it shows 12L/100km (19.6MPG), which turns out to be only 7L/100km (33MPG) over a complete tank.
