Prunes Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011 Running my i5 2500k at 4.7GHz air cooled. Volt at 1.385. Vram at 350, I think. Man, I wish I had WC, so I could crank it up. I'm sure I could hit at least 4.9. I might try to play a little with it later. Just to see if I can hit 4.8. So far I'm getting 70C on one core during prime. But I might be able to drop the voltage some.
hermes09 Posted May 28, 2011 Posted May 28, 2011 My 2400 is running at 3.9 Wha... how's that possible? i thought the 2400 can't overclocked? wait, is it i5 or some kind of joke(not sarcasm just asking)?
Prunes Posted May 30, 2011 Posted May 30, 2011 I have a few questions about the P8P67 mobo. What does these three things mean/do? CPU C1E CPU C3 report Cpu C6 report
ccokeman Posted May 30, 2011 Posted May 30, 2011 They are have to do with the CPU power states. When you overclock the SB processor you get both the power savings at idle and the benefit of higher clocks under load. Its best to leave them at the default values to have the best of both worlds. Nuclear Posted June 6, 2011 Posted June 6, 2011 (edited) So I suppose no 5GHz ? I guess I had to up to 24/7 clocks just to make you happy. I keep BIOS profiles for 5.0GHz and 4.8GHz, but recently switched back to 4.8GHz with a lower vcore and higher memory speeds. The 1.42v vcore is actually 1.416 measured with a DMM. I have CPU PLL Overvoltage and LLC enabled for both 5.0GHz and 4.8GHz. The temps shown are after 1 hour of BFBC2 and then a SuperPI 32M run. Here are the rest of the settings in case anyone is interested: Multi: 50x Blk: 100.3 Memory: 1600 6-8-6-24 Vcore: 1.416v (Normal + DVID) QPI/VTT: 1.12v VCSSA: 0.935v PCH: 1.05v PLL: 1.54v VDIMM: 1.5v Thanks Edited June 6, 2011 by Nuclear
Nyt Posted June 6, 2011 Posted June 6, 2011 Im hoping to get a 2600k and get it to 5GHz by the end of the year (provided that Bulldozer doesn't reach 5GHz easily else 8 core 5GHz FTW ! ) But I might have to upgrade and add a RX360 to the RS360 loop to handle +- 1.45v for 5GHz . I'm running a 240MM Black Ice GTS and 120MM SR1 in my cooling system for the system shown above. Temps in LinX never hit 65C and normal gaming / usage shows temps in the low to mid 40s. As soon as I finish up my TJ07 mod I'll be moving everything over and switching to a 480MM rad with dual pumps...but I don't expect much of a temp difference.
