    Information Update: I will include an AMD EK Supreme LT waterblock and backplate if anyone buys the entire combo. I don't have any barbs, but you get the block and all mounting hardware.     I actually purchased two cases that I'll be putting systems into over the next few days and weeks. This Intel 2500k is being moved into a Silverstone TJ07 with custom backplate, top piece, and front plate...along with a lot of other nice goodies and more H2O gear. I also bought a 700D that I'm putting a Bulldozer system in. I just placed an order for (2) SR1 480MM rads, (1) SR1 360MM rad, (1) SR1 240MM rad, 4 GPU blocks, 2 more 35x pumps, and a host of hardware. This case needs to go, and go quickly to help recoup some of those costs Let me know. I'm somewhat flexible on these prices but just be reasonable if you send me an offer.   5. Here is my latest full mod. I just "finished" it up last night and still a few minor things to tidy up and work, but it's 95% there. I'm still waiting on my sleeving to arrive from MDPC-X and a few other items. I'm very happy with how it turned out and the color scheme. I've never built a blue/black/white themed case but I don't think this will be my last. Enough with the talking though, here's the pics. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks

    I know...I know...I took these pictures after a quick test and the only open monitor was my 42" Vizio I have in the shop. It only supports HDMI and VGA, so I went with VGA.

    There are times when I would agree with you, but 95% of the time the digital camo works for me. I have been wanting to do a case like this for a while but just never found the right case or the right mod to do it on, so this oppurtunity arose and I went for it. It's not for everyone and definitely has to grow on you, but it looks great with all of the lights and fans going. I'll have to upload some this week. It's a pretty generic mod, just water cooling and some custom bits added here and there. Thanks!

    CM 690 II Advanced Mod

    Well...because I want to build another TJ07 mod and the wife won't let me until I sell one of my cases first. She says I have too many in the shop now and can't bring anything else home unless something leaves. I have an Antec 300, this case, and a modded 600T SE that are all up for sale. As soon as one or two of them find a new home I'm placing my order for the TJ07. I'm hoping the 300 and 600T sell but if this case finds a good home and meets my price...I'll let it go. The fun is in the modding and they kind of lose their luster once they're "complete."
  9. I have a 4GB set of ADATA XPG Gaming Series RAM that I'm looking to sell if anyone is interested. It's 4GB of DDR3 1600 and has been used in both an AMD X6 and Intel P67 system without any problems. The default timings are 9-9-9-24, but I had no trouble running them at CL8 with 1.55v. They are certified to run between 1.55v and 1.75v without problems. YMMV on overclocks and timings.     Here's a quick update on this case mod. It's 95% complete and the rest of the parts are on the way. A koolance GPU block, Mayhems Dye, and Aquaero Pro should be delivered this week. I'm looking to start another project soon so this case will soon be up for sale in the BST section.

    [WTS] XSPC X2O 750

    I have a XSPC X20 750 pump / rez combo that has been used about 2 months up for sale. The pump is in great working shape and besides being a little cloudy on the inside, it looks great. I just pulled it from a system last night. It comes with 1/2" ID barbs. The faceplate has a custom digital camo pattern painted on it, but it should be easy to sand and paint over if that doesn't fit someone's style. I think you can buy new faceplates as well if you wanted a brand new one. These are selling for $50 - $65 brand new, so $35 with the barbs takes it.   15. Just got your PM... Your VCCIO voltages are way too high and you are in danger of degrading the IMC on your chip if it's running at almost 1.4v. If you are unstable or stopping the test due to heat, then it's hard to determine which setting or settings need to be tweaked in order to get everything stable. Vcore, VCCIO, and PLL voltage are the three biggest contributors to heat in these SB chips. Dropping the PLL to below 1.6v and keeping VCCIO as low as possible can change your temps by 2-3C max, but also increase stability in some cases. I'll give you two options / things I would try. 1. Buy a box fan or something that can help cool your ambient temps down. I would also perform a case test to ensure your case is getting proper airflow. A case test can be done by simply pulling the side panel off, if your temps go down then you need to increase airflow inside the case and improve your exhaust system. If temps stay the same or get warmer, your case is fine and you can button it back up. 2. Tweak these settings and voltages. - Drop your RAM from 2133 to 1600MHz and see if they can run on 1.5 - 1.55v. Decrease your your VCCIO to 1.1v or a max of 1.12v. Your setting of 1.375v is extremely too high and as I stated earlier, could be close to causing to major damage. If you want to keep your RAM at 2133MHz, drop the voltage to a max of 1.14 - 1.16v and see what it does. - Decrease your PLL voltage to under 1.6v. - Decrease PCH back to 1.05v - Increase VCCSA to 0.935v
  16. I run pure distilled with a KillCoil in each loop and I have never had any problems. I usually replace tubes and water every 6 months and I've never seen any problems. I don't trust any type of dye or additive because they all seem to cause problems at one point or another.
  17. You should not be reaching temps that high on that low of a vcore, at least I don't think so. Dropping or increasing my vcore 0.015 usually makes a 1C difference with the max I've seen being around 3C. I think leaving the voltages on auto is allowing them to increase on their own as you go under load and that's what's causing your high temps. At a lower speed like 4.4GHz the system may not play with the voltages as much and should result in lower temps. Open up your motherboard's tuning software and watch all of the voltages under load, especially those set at auto. You shouldn't need Internal PLL Voltage enabled to reach 4.5GHz. The lowest I've seen it needed was 47x multi. I would disable that for 4.5GHz and it should slightly lower your temps as well. Just out of curiousity, what was your max load temp running 4.4GHz under LinX? In the end IVI is right, the highest temp I have seen outside of LinX was almost 20C lower than my max during a 20 run test. I always figured that if my cooling can handle the LinX heat, I'll never have any other problems and can put my cooling system to rest
  18. QPI/VTT may be listed as VCIO on some boards, if that helps. Intel overvolts the PLL on the SB chips which actually can have some adverse effects. - Try dropping your PLL from Auto or 1.8v down to 1.7 or 1.72v. You can run even lower if you'd like, I run 1.54v at 5.0GHz on my 2500k. Dropping the PLL will often allow you to become stable using a lower vcore and thus causing lower temps. - PCH voltage is fine and shouldn't be adjusted, just like VCCSA. - VCIO (QPI) shouldn't be any higher than 1.12 or 1.14v. It could be a lot lower but since you are running 2133 RAM it's putting more stress on the IMC and thus probably needs a slight bump. - I would also recommend manually setting every voltage and not leaving them on auto. Even setting them to the default values is a good idea. Auto gives the board the ability to adjust on the fly and it will often overvolt and cause problems when the load gets heavy. What is the vcore currently set at and what type of thermal paste? That cooler should be doing better, but it's not unusual to see 80+C temps on air cooling once these chips started getting clocked.
  19. There's a couple of tricks you can try that can help lower your vcore or possibly lower your temps. What are your secondary voltages set to? It would be great if you can list out your QPI/VTT, System Agent Voltage, PCH, PLL, and VDIMM. Thanks
  20. I'm running a 240MM Black Ice GTS and 120MM SR1 in my cooling system for the system shown above. Temps in LinX never hit 65C and normal gaming / usage shows temps in the low to mid 40s. As soon as I finish up my TJ07 mod I'll be moving everything over and switching to a 480MM rad with dual pumps...but I don't expect much of a temp difference.
  21. I guess I had to up to 24/7 clocks just to make you happy. I keep BIOS profiles for 5.0GHz and 4.8GHz, but recently switched back to 4.8GHz with a lower vcore and higher memory speeds. The 1.42v vcore is actually 1.416 measured with a DMM. I have CPU PLL Overvoltage and LLC enabled for both 5.0GHz and 4.8GHz. The temps shown are after 1 hour of BFBC2 and then a SuperPI 32M run. Here are the rest of the settings in case anyone is interested: Multi: 50x Blk: 100.3 Memory: 1600 6-8-6-24 Vcore: 1.416v (Normal + DVID) QPI/VTT: 1.12v VCSSA: 0.935v PCH: 1.05v PLL: 1.54v VDIMM: 1.5v Thanks

    I'll have to get a screenshot next time. 15 minutes may have been a little quick, it was late last night when I posted...but I have screenshots now of completing 22 passes at around 20 minutes at 5GHz. 17-18 minutes may be more reasonable and sorry for the mis-typing on my part.     Wow...I'd hate to see how much a better water cooling loop would cost. I wouldn't pay over $300 for this kit, but I don't know your alternatives either. Crazy stuff

    Yes...LinX warms your chip up very quickly and will keep it there for the duration of the test. 95% of your everyday applications and games will never cause a system to run as hot as it does under LinX, but that's what makes it such a great stability tool. Watch your temps and your vcore if you have LLC enabled, temps and volts seem to jump quite high if you aren't paying attention.

    As I stated before, P95 does not stress these SB chips in a way that reveals instabilities. I've had SB chips pass 12HR blend testing and literally fail LinX in under a minute. LinX with AVX support is much more stressful on the CPU and will show instabilities in these SB system pretty quickly. My LinX / Stability testing usually goes like this: - Run a 5 pass LinX test with at least 2800MB selected (4GB RAM) - If the 5 pass completes without any BSOD or Stops...then I shoot for a 20 pass full stability test. My SB system at 5.0GHz completes a 5 pass run in about 3:15, and 20 passes in around 15 minutes. I have maybe 30 minutes tied up into my stability testing and I'd all but guarantee it will stand up to any 12HR+ P95 testing you think of. LinX get your system hot very quick, so watch the temps while running it. *Make sure your are Windows 7 SP1 for the LinX I posted earlier. Pre-SP1 W7 installs don't support AVX and you won't get a full stress test without it.
