New Case $160

I made a thread a few weeks ago asking about cases for $100.

 

 

well instead of my parents buying me a case for christmas they gave me $160 so i have a little bigger budget for a cas.

 

 

Best case for a hard $160

 

options so far:

 

Antec Twelve Hundred

 

Cooler Master Storm Sniper

Both are good choices, but I've always wanted to go with the Azza Hurricane 2000 for my next build - $130.

Id choose the sniper over the Antec.

 

For that money you could get a HAF 932 AMD edition.

I too would go with the phantom but I would get the white one for sure.

I agree with both of them. A storm sniper is much better then a 1200 and the Haf beats them Both IMHO.

Just increase ur budget a little bit and get the haf x.

CM 690 II Advanced has my vote.

 

If you want a huge case with extra space get an HAF 932, but it won't have all the cool features the 690 II Advanced has.

I made the mistake of going to the antec 1200 ( unable to install Coolit 120 cpu cooler.) I switched to the HAF 932 Amd edition (Using a asus P6t Deluxe V2 Board 1366 I7 920) fits fine. Then Order the Left side panel for the 9 regular 932 case for $20 from coolmaster. Fantastic case for under $120.

Looking to switch to a Coolit 240 once its available on newegg. (Coolit has it for $124 but $80 to ship )

For a Air cooled system I would also recommend the antec 300 case for $69 at newegg or less on sale its a bit tight but function well with additional Fans.

so far its:

 

1. Storm Sniper

2. Azza Hurricane 2000

3. HAF 932 Blue (wish it had black interior tho)

4. NZXT Phantom (white)

 

keep the recommendations coming people! I would like to find a case less well known , iv'e seen most of these cases. im sure there are some out there that arent that common but still great cases.

 

Oh and i prefer black interior but if it comes down to it i can just paint the inside. never done it before but im pretty handy so it cant be too hard.

also, something other than the standard Blue LED's thats so popular would be great. But again, if it comes down to it i can just buy some different colored fans.

I also prefer a clear side panel , just like to show off my innards :P
