Avinexis Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 There is something about the Fallout 3 main title song that really flicks a switch in my mind. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EOB278741rQ The Metal Gear Theme gives me goosebumps too! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AlC0obTsPDE LOADS of the tracks from all 3 current Halo OST's, this being one of my favourites: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H20Ok5BKR-Q Incubus, one of my favourite bands Having done songs for a couple video games: Halo 2 - 4th Movement of the Odyssey (there are three movements prior to this one, seek them out!) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B1IOSbASbSQ&feature=related New Skin - Motocross Madness II http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pq55r4Np5yg Honestly, I love so much video game music it's criminal. greengiant912 Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 The perfect example of licensed music in a game. Cage the Elephant - Ain't no Rest for the wicked, Borderlands. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uOTLrV_9t4Q

Miek Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 My favourite in-game music moment was on Halo 2 on the level "Gravemind." You walk into the room where there is the HUGE battle between the elites and the rest of the Covanent. Then, "Blow Me Away" by Breaking Benjamin comes on and you're like "YEEEESSSS!" hardnrg Posted September 12, 2010 Posted September 12, 2010 I like a lot of older music like: DOOM Outrun Street Fighter II F-Zero Dune II Turrican II most of the above is regarded as some of the best composed game music ever, and much has been performed live or otherwise recreated... I have all of them in MIDI format, various soundcard renditions, tribute albums... I listen to this music by itself, outside of the game... my ringtone has been Bobby Prince - "At Doom's Gate" for several years now (edited to when it kicks in properly), this is the first level of DOOM the Ken stage of SFII is up there in my all-time favourites
