2010 OCC update feedback thread

Recommended Posts

I think the normal galleries SHOULD have a fairly small limit (after all who needs to see a 6+MP picture in someones gallery?) and then the wallpaper/OCC created galleries should be kept how you have them now with a larger upper limit.

Plus it will help with bandwidth and hosting.

If someone wants to link to a huge resolution version of their pictures then they can.

Ya but its nice to be able to upload what you want.

If you upload something small fine, if you upload something big fine. The servers are powerful enough to handle it so I would rather give you guys something good then something limited. :)

Coolness

BTW, I found a minor formatting error.

The white background of the image box is "hiding" the "image description". To see what I mean, go to my gallery image, then hit CTRL-A and you'll see the "hidden text."

Easy fix - either make the description text black or change the background color. I think changing the background color to OCC Blue may look best, but you'll probably want to do some trial and error.

Also can we make pictures close on double-click?

At 1600x900 I have to scroll quite a bit to get to the "close" button...

EDIT:

Nevermind, all I have to do is just click outside of the picture frame.

<---Is an idiot.

Don't feel dumb...the first time I wound up accidentally closing my browser entirely after clicking on an image.

You've never been to a site that has the image feature like we have? Idiot. :P

Yeah, and I can't stand them. I want images that open in new tabs, not jquery crap.

*sob*

I think I actually requested this feature like 10 different times awhile back.

I guess I just hadn't really used them much despite wanting it.

Or you can hit the ESC key. ;)

But this is a prime example of why it's silly to attach humongous files. Post one that shows it, and if you need something larger (i.e. wallpapers) just provide a link to the files.
