Bosco Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 ccokeman takes the newest Intel 32nm CPU for a run. http://www.overclockersclub.com/reviews/intel_core_i5_661/
GabrielT Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 I would like to see what this thing can do with a decent motherboard. Great review as always, 3.33ghz for $200 is quite the chip.
MJCRO Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 Nice OCC already got it, just read the review on Tom's Hardware, it sucked. ccokeman's review is 10x better.

IVIYTH0S Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 Looks like a cool little chip, I still wish Intel would release some kind of a counter to AMD's Overdrive, wouldn't that have allowed for some voltage tweaking?? I'm trying to wrap my head around it also being a GPU though. Cool review Sir Cola
00stevo Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 Nice review, this chip has got my attention.Im a bit of a bargain builder so i'll wait for a slower clocked model and oc the hell out of it.

Cool review Sir Cola They already do have something in the form of the Intel Desktop control center. But you have to look at this board as one that is not meant to be used for overclocking but as a reliable platform for the masses that dont tweak things. I do have the chip installed in a board from ASUS right now and it does have the ability to do all the tweaks we love to make so wait to see what it really can do and hold judgement on the chips overclocking cred until that one is released. It looks as though this board even can do something with the GPU clock speeds as well...... Thanks

PingoPongo Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 (edited) Less nm = lower power consumtion and less heat, wich usually tends to lead to better overclocking. Edited January 4, 2010 by PingoPongo
