MJCRO Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 I need some help on finding the best air cooler to hit 24/7 stable on Q9550 E0 on a EP45-UD3P. I've been looking around have I'm kinda leaning towards AC7, but also I'm looking at some Noctua's & Thermaltakes. I'm so overwhelmed, there are so many good coolers. Thx for the help in advance! AIinc Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 Thermalright TRUE Black edition I second that!!! Much better cooler than the AC 7 pro, but I will say the AC 7 pro is much better than the stock cpu cooler!
MJCRO Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 Do you guys think I could fit the True 120 in a HAF 922, not 932, but still be able to put two 120mm fans on the side panel without touching the heatsink. I'm just curious cause the same thing happens with a CM V8 in a HAF 922.
AIinc Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 Your computer case would need to be a wide one! My cooler comes within 1/2 inch of my side panel, so I have no side fans, just front and back. My case it 8 1/4 inches wide.
MJCRO Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 Hmmm, I can't find any True 120's on Newegg, but I think i found the next best thing, what you guys think about this? Link
AIinc Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 Then I'd get this one! ZEROtherm ZEN FZ120 120mm CPU Cooler http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16835887016
MJCRO Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 Looks good, but for same amount, I'm stuck between a CM V8 and Vigor Monsoon III, which I know both will hit 4 Ghz easily at under 1.30V and ~60C.
IVIYTH0S Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 Sunbeam Core Contact Freezer, it's like one of the best if not THE best (and it's so inexpensive)
damian Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 it's like one of the best if not THE best I wouldn't go as far as saying that
