Thraxz Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 GAH! I managed a 27.203s 1M superpi and DIDN'T TAKE THE SCREENIE! I'm retarded. Â EDIT: Oh well, here's this instead: Â
TheFlowerKing Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 Updated. Nice to see you're still pushing it Thraxz
Thraxz Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 And this one... I'm still trying to get it stable enough to bench at 3.1GHz. Frightening stuff. Â
Guest BFG Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 Thats some seriously awsome Ram you've got there! Is it stable at 233 with the cas of 1.5?
Thraxz Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 Yes, BH-5 is awesome stuff. This is stable through 240 at 1.5 and 2.0 through 245 and not stable at all past 245. In truth it's crumby BH-5 MHz wise. I'm about to RMA it for a better set that actually does the DDR500 it's advertised at! Â EDIT: ----Update!---- Â Â YEEHAH! 3.1Ghz. LTD bump brought it JUST stable enough to run 1M!
oc newbie Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 Nice run there thraxz bet if u did a couple tweaks it would drop even more. Really startin to miss my ch5 chips, doubt this ram will let me get into the 25 second range.
vaelo Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 i think i have found a problem, last weekend i ran a memtest for 18 hours and had about 8 errors, just tryed to boot with one stick and it didnt even post, mem testing my other stick then will try again with the other later. i want to try and get sub 28 when i get this working again
Thraxz Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 I suggest you invest in a nice set of UCCC 2 x 1gig ram if you can afford it. Your time will probably plunge to LOW 27s. Â Or if you want SMOKIN bench ram get a set of BH-5 sticks!
vaelo Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 i found a site that lists the type of chips on ramstick according to it my kit should be: Value RAM VS2GBKIT400C3 - Micron 5B-D or Samsung UCCC i just ran memtest and used the "probe" tool and i think every thing it tested was in error, 50+ errors, and i cant seem to find a descripion of what probe dose so i can RMA and get a new set of better ram
Thraxz Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 If they were UCCC they'd OC much better than a measly 15 MHz. Tell me how the other stick does for OCing and we'll know for sure.
SeanDude05 Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 Well you should never run Value RAM on a DFI board. If they were PC3400 UCCC I'd send them back.
