3GHz, are you up for the challenge?

 

I present you with the opportunity to prove yourself to the street, claim yourself a mention on the 3G Clubroom walls and make that system of yours run a little bit stronger.

Come join the 3G clubroom, the doors are open to all but if you want to get on the honours roll you will need to show your rig can do what you say it does. You're not proving it to the street, you're proving it to yourself.

 

The requirements are as follows :

1 - Must be an AMD cpu.

2 - Must be OCDB stable. Hence, it must also have a valid OCDB entry.

3 - Must be 3GHz or greater.

 

Apart from that, the rules are open. What I want to see is everyone pushing their systems and proving to themselves what they can do.

And paramount, this is about fun and making our systems better. That way everyone prospers and we all learn a little bit more.

Show us what your cpu can do when it's got race slicks on and taken down a dragstrip!

 

RaceDay rules are as follows :

1 - Must bring own helmet!

2 - Championship rankings require 1M and 32M entries.

3 - Super Pi must be mod1.4 or later.

4 - 2 CPU-Z screens showing cpu and memory tabs. (There are exceptions allowed here).

5 - Super Pi must show full calculation.

6 - ANY clock you want, it doesn't even have to be above 3G!

 

So get those engines revving and show us your 1/4 mile score!

That's the spirit Techno! Come on mate, at 290x10 @ 1.5 you must be able to squeeze out 3GHz for an OCDB entry.. (let's face it, dual core is what it's all about now, and 3GHz OCDB stable on a duallie DESERVES a reward!)

Did I mention that GGG on a duallie (GGG+GGG?) gives you twice as many bonus points..

Lol, actually I hit 3.1 stable at 1.73 (ish) volts....but the difference wasn't terribly noticeable. Plus I'm sellin my rig to a friend so I'm out. ;)

Ok, well that was a mission and a half.

I've just gone through the s939 OCDB and added everyone who qualified.

Everyone that didn't have a full mailbox got PM'ed, those who didn't list their cooling got PM'ed, if I missed anyone out, please let me know.

Did I mention it's a public holiday here today and I'm bored? My single job of the day involved pinging a router to prove connectivity in our network.. joyous.

 

Anyway.. come on guys! There are more than a few of you who are only MHz away from 3GHz in your OCDB entries, this is a good excuse to pull out those high clocking cpu's and reach the GGG mark! Show us you have what it takes to be a GGG-Unit! (lol I hate that stuff but it fits.. sorta)
