Guest Tmod Posted November 30, 2005 Posted November 30, 2005 Ok folks we have a problem with one file on my CD, It seems something went wrong with the NF4 LanParty 510-2Fix when it was compiled. Please do NOT flash with that bios until I release a update patch. That was the only file that was reported working intermittently. I tested each of the NF2 Infinity, NF2 LanParty, and NF4 LanParty before you released the original CD to the public and gave the OK. Pretty sure I sent you the RAR files of the NF4 bioses so if it's anyone's goof it would be me. 4 trys with the 510-2FIX off CD5.0 last night all failed. (BSOD on boot) 4 trys with the 510-2FIX off CD 4.0 last night 2 passed 2 failed. WTH up wit dat? Luckily flashing back to 704-2bta fixed everything immediately. So please do NOT volunteer to see if it flashes OK. We're past that and I don't want to feel any worse that I do. My bad if anyone's guys. Sorry. Keep up the great work Tmod. After talking on the phone with soundx98 for 1 1/2 hours we found that increasing the voltage for the memory solved all of the problems with any bios on my CD. So the problem does not exist with my CD but rather some issues arise depending on the memory and the Vdimm voltage that you have. I will be looking into raising the default Vdimm voltages in the NF4 LanParty Bios's so we can eliminate some problems that may arise. I have seen only one other situation where there was a problem but a increase in the Vdimm voltage to 2.8v should not hurt any memory out there. I hope that will be enough to eliminate the few problems we have had. Anyway just letting you know and I would like to thank soundx98 for taking the time to help me with the problem, I don't have a NF4 board so he is my guinea pig or lab rat or whatever you want to call him. Using OCZ3200 Gold UTT/BH5 and I've had it at 3.5v for a while. Maybe damaged it or just needs more volts than it used too? I have burnt it in a LOT. Using Yellow slots not Orange.
