IVIYTH0S Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 Just trying to get ideas of a nice and fun car I could get under 10 G's since I think it may be time to move on from my saturn I want something small/light that handles well (or can be easily/cheaply made to handle well) over straight line performance, and preferably better than 25MPG but I know sportiness and my budget will have to cut corners somewhere. Newer than 2000 too Stick of course So far some thoughts are: 1)Last gen Celica GTS 2) Acura RSX Type-S 3)S2000 4)Saturn Ion Redline (and by extension, Cobalt SS I guess. Even though I can't afford the T/C version and the S/C versions are more expensive than the Redlines which are the same shit lol) 5)Subaru WRX/STi (doubt I'd find a nice STi in my price range but it'd be nice) 6)Lancer Evo (again this probably impossible) 7)VW Turbo Jetta 8) Trueno AE86 (Sorry just was watching some Initial D with a friend) I don't know, I'm pretty picky since I love my Saturn and know I'll either have to compromise on sportiness or fuel economy so I figured of going sportier since I'm only young once (was considering Prius' or the original Insights on the other side of the spectrum) Can't wait to see what you all have to recommend! IVIYTH0S Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 Use it for a down payment on a BRZ/FRS Tempting but I'd like to set that $10K as a firm max, I could totally go higher but I want to have money in reserve to put towards school until I'm done. Onion Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 240z. You can get an 90s cobra with the independent rear suspension and a massive v8 in budget. They're a heap of fun.

IVIYTH0S Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 (edited) Miata. Don't they have a pretty bad price hike due to all you can do with them though?? 240z. You can get an 90s cobra with the independent rear suspension and a massive v8 in budget. They're a heap of fun. See: Small/Light with decent/good gas mileage Also, I want it to handle I think I DID see a 240Z around here for sale but too old I say the celica, fairly good mpg and a heap of fun to drive. Oh, you've driven one?? 1999s are the new gen Mustangs, so it would be the same as the ones up to 2004. 1998s are the previous gen, but are nearly identical to the new gens. www.google.com But they'll probably all be beat or have something wrong right?? It's not really my type of car though Edited December 5, 2013 by IVIYTH0S
