IVIYTH0S Posted March 3, 2011 Posted March 3, 2011 man i want sooo bad to see AMD top the charts again!!!! :withstupid: It's been too long, GPU or CPU. They need the single cpu/gpu victory, no matter how brief

Waco Posted March 3, 2011 Posted March 3, 2011 +1, just to get Intel to stop the $1000 CPU rediculousness. That'll never happen. People are always willing to cough up the dough for them. Remember extreme edition P4s? Skulltrail? Etc...

jk336699 Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 "a high-end offering that is projected to outperform existing Phenom II chips by 50%." how fast is 50% outperform Phenom II chip? as fast as the 980x?
ocre Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 Its probably a bad thing they are reporting like that, i mean saying stuff like that could be a setup just to let some ppl down. There was some slides (rumor) that showed the bulldozer 50% faster than the 1100t and intels i7 950. This just isnt something thats gonna help bulldozer. It can really damage the launch if it is over-hyped. Best thing is wait till official benchmarks are out. I can easily see bulldozer being 50% better in some cases with 8 real cores. But i also see the results varying and even if it was, its just better not to believe anything until its official benchmarks.
