Under but technically on. My desk has a wood platform the computer mostly sits on (the case is too wide to fit there, so I have another piece of wood supporting the rest of it). Puts the computer about an inch off the ground which is where I like it!

It's in a test bench on top of the desk. I have a few pets so regardless of the case higher is better.

To the right of my desk. No space on my desk for a monster HAF932 next to my PS3 and 32 inch TV

Mine sits under the inside of my desk on a 4in wood platform because my case has 2-120mm fans in the floor of the case....

Since moving to an ITX rig I place the computer on a shelf next to my desk.

Similar to what Jim said, under the desk but still kind of on it.

On a small folding stand next to my desk. Seems to accumulate dust much faster if I have it on the floor.
