Under but technically on. My desk has a wood platform the computer mostly sits on (the case is too wide to fit there, so I have another piece of wood supporting the rest of it). Puts the computer about an inch off the ground which is where I like it!

It's in a test bench on top of the desk. I have a few pets so regardless of the case higher is better.

Since moving to an ITX rig I place the computer on a shelf next to my desk.

On a small folding stand next to my desk. Seems to accumulate dust much faster if I have it on the floor.

Only PC is hooked to the TV in a Silverstone HTPC case; so it's on the furniture that hold the TV and the rest of the AV equipment
