derektm Posted April 25, 2005 Posted April 25, 2005 ur ram are garunteed up to 3.5V so giving it 3.4 for fsb260 is not a problem Yeah but then i'll have to jumper my board and it will run a lot hotter, and I would probably need active cooling on the ram. SaFrOuT Posted April 25, 2005 Posted April 25, 2005 i used to have OCZ Gold VX PC-3200 and i swithced the jumber and they ran @%)FSB 2-2-2-x @ 3.4 without being hot at all and i didn't need to put a fan on the PWM but i have a good air flow inside the case, that's all

Aren't they the things with heatsinks on them?

chennhui Posted April 26, 2005 Posted April 26, 2005 Where exactly are the PWM? Aren't they the things with heatsinks on them? PWM IC control the CPU VID, which located near the 24 pins power supply.
Dave338 Posted April 27, 2005 Posted April 27, 2005 My winnie is a lazy one too... Is achieving only about 2150mhz with stock vcore (1,36 in smartguardian). Testing primestable for 7 hours, needs 1.3*126% 1,63v (1,58 in smartguardian) for 290*8=2320mhz (also LDT at 1,3v and chipset at 1,6v), which seems quite bad... Tomorrow when I get at home will test with some more juice... 1.35*123% (1,62v in SG?? ) to try 2400mhz, but don't want to crackup more the VID. Running all with memory divider at 166 wich throw at 290 about 235 to the memory (tested stable at 280) Any suggestions??? PD: is an LBBID 0512BPMW 1120
solsource Posted April 29, 2005 Posted April 29, 2005 I just bought an 3000+ CBBID 0507 it says its a winnie in CPUZ but I dont see anyone else with 0507 not even on the charts that are linked earlier in the thread... Is this one of the "newer winnies"?
chennhui Posted April 29, 2005 Posted April 29, 2005 solsource, I has a CBBID 0508 and it clocked very well. I able to reach 2510 at 1.5v x 1.13. I did tested it at 2610 with 1.4v x 1.23 and apparently it is too hot for stock fan.
Dave338 Posted April 29, 2005 Posted April 29, 2005 Mine is'nt stable at 2400mhz even at 1,35v*126% (1,65v in SmartGuardian, 1,67 in BIOS) Neither 300x8 nor 270x9 are stable, so I think is not HTT or chipset related. Testing at 7 multiple, 302x7 boots fine and seems stable. 303x7 doesn't even enter windows, freezes in a black screen before the login. So my CPU doesn't do 2400mhz and doesn't surpass 303HTT, too bad these LBBID are... :( I'm trying to stabilize system at 295x8=2360mhz, at 1,62v BIOS (1,6 SG) fails prime after 40 minutes, very near 100% stability. Next week i'll test this lazy one with 1,64-1,65 BIOS Maybe in a month or two start looking for a good venice salu2.
chennhui Posted April 29, 2005 Posted April 29, 2005 No dont get Venice... get San Diego 939 with 1Mb L2...
Dave338 Posted April 29, 2005 Posted April 29, 2005 Too expensive, my principles avoid getting one, hehehehehe The MB of caché don't worries too much. What worries me is the low clocks of this CPU. salu2.
