I'm actually more impressed by the Shangling CD player (That's the SACD version isn't it?).

I see you know your players. Yes that is the SACD/CD version with upgraded Western Electric 396a output tubes.

I'm familiar with the sound of tube amps, but what does a tube player actually sound like?

It's quite a unique bit of kit.

Tube CD players sound more like analog vinyl, smoother across the board, more dynamic, more musical than solid state players.

Regular CD's sound just as good as SACD recordings. No need to buy expensive SACDs anymore.

Heres a PC I put together recently

Specs:

C2D 6600 @ 3.0 ghz

EVGA 680i

EVGA 8800 GTS Video Card

2 Gigs Corsair Memory

500 gig Seagate Hard drive

OCZ 800 watt power supply

All housed in a Antec P180 Case

I will work on better overclocks when I get a cooling solution that works for me try to decide on a high end water or high end air solution.

How is that a GTX card at that length and only one PCI-e connector?
