ccokeman Posted June 29, 2008 Posted June 29, 2008 Bump the Ram speed up to drop your Pi times. At that speed you should be running 5-5-5-12 at least. Nice chip though!
gotdamojo06 Posted June 29, 2008 Posted June 29, 2008 Thanks boss man, I usually start off with low ram clocks and loose timings so that I can rule the RAM out as an issue since I am using 4 sticks of the DDR3 ram...4 sticks sucks Frank, here is that 4500 I was talking about, little out of my comfort level with the vCore but its not stable unfortunately Im going to work on that later
hardnrg Posted July 4, 2008 Posted July 4, 2008 Prime95 v25 3300 MHz >30 hours Q6600 @ 9x367=3300 2x1 OCZ FlexXLC + 2x1 Geil Ultra @ 367, 4-4-4-12-2T EVGA 680i A1 Getting 4x1GB (2 different sets) stable at higher speeds is quite hard... also I can't take the heat that my PC pumps out at 1.575v, even with A/C on 24 hours a day (my room heats up that much!), so I've taken it back down to ~1.5v and taken all the fan speeds right down so I can listen to music and watch movies without feeling like I'm in a factory lol... Not sure where the DFI Street thread went to, but I'm gonna put my settings here for reference. gotdamojo06 Posted July 4, 2008 Posted July 4, 2008 tell me about it, Im running 4x1GB of Aeneon DDR3...two are 1333 and the others are 1600, it is quite difficult to OC them very well, however I will get it! I will post some more updates as soon as I get some time to work with the computer
hardnrg Posted July 4, 2008 Posted July 4, 2008 I think I'm going to be able to get 3526 MHz stable at 1.5V CPU which means at 9x I have the RAM @ 392 MHz, but hopefully once the CPU OC has passed P95 24hr I can switch to 1T and tighten up the timings... Kinda sucks "losing" the OC, but I'm enjoying my room not sounding like a server room, and as hot as a sauna
